Great timing! Took our 5 year old to a hockey game recently and despite never having ice skated (this is oklahoma) he is certain he’s going to be a hockey player when he grows up! And shockingly a place not too far away participating.

Oh Yes! please go! The kids usually have such fun. Our local rink has volunteers from every level from 8yr olds to just below NHL go and skate with the kids. Hockey has been such a blessing to our family. And if your child decides they love it, equipment is not as expensive as you think, some programs have loaner equipment. Kids can start at any age they don’t have to be a Gretzky or a Crosby.

My 2 boys participated last year and had never even been on skates before. They had a blast getting to suit up like real hockey players. They were given jerseys, a stick, puck, NHL trading cards, and a certificate for participating! The organizer here in Nashua and his sons were so kind to my boys! I highly recommend this program!!
