Same for me!

In case you really want a salt lamp You can get one from bed bath and beyond for that same price after you use one of their coupons and it’s nicer. My son got one (he is 13) and it’s really nice. It changes color also and it’s one big solid piece of salt rock 😉. Just another option 😊
Thanks for the tip! This one on Amazon looks a bit too small to really get any benefits. I will check out Bed Bath.
Stephanie/Jackie, didn’t they just have some sort of a recall on those at Bed, Bath & Beyond? I remember reading something about it in the news just in the past few months. I only remember because I was on the fence about getting one for my son, and then heard of the recall (?) and then was grateful I didn’t get one.
Thank you for the info! I went on line and checked really quick since I don’t want my son to have something that has been recalled. It looks like the recall was for the ones from Amazon. It was due to the dimmer not working properly and the lamp possibly catching fire. The ones from bed bath and beyond we’re not part of it. 😳 Please let me know if you find the article saying it was bed bath and beyond because if they were part of the recall I will return ours.
I would also second the Bed Bath and Beyond option. You can get a huge rock for that price! Or a basket of rocks like this even cheaper. Love ours! Use them coupons!
I recently saw an article stating that people were getting sick from their salt lamps. I don’t own one, so I only glanced over the article. But like everything else, you may want to research it before you make your purchase.
Oh, Jen, thank you! Yes, I had thought I read something like that too. Thanks for confirming it.
Snopes has an article about their effectiveness (or lack of) as a cure all. There isn’t anything to really make you sick or well with them. But if you ‘feel’ it helps you go for it.
Yep. You’d basically need a whole salt room (which, by the way, some states have) to get the benefits of the ions in Himalayan Salt. Salt lamps are just pretty to look at.
Not opinions if you have facts and citations to back it up but I appreciate your opinion. 🙂
Wish I could remember where I read an article on how to tell if you have a fake salt lamp. Never realized some are fake!
Dr Josh Axe has an article on it that I read recently.
snopes is just a husband and wife giving their opinion FYI (I realize that’s not the topic here)
My comment was to Summer BTW.
I bought this exact lamp the last time it was posted. I really like it! Very pretty to look at, has a nice calming adjustable glow. I just ordered a second one for my son because it works great as a night light. He’s been begging for one after seeing mine.
Great to hear how much you have liked yours and that you could score one for your son! Thanks for the great feedback!
