This deal worked great! Also, on Saving Star they have a one or many deal for Sally Hansen nails or airbrush products, if you buy $15 you get $4 back. I tried it, and they credited me $7 toward the goal. Now to find more Sally Hanson deals or recreate this one!

Just a warning… check your receipt before you leave! I went to do this deal and the gel nail color I picked wasn’t in the system as part of the sale. It rang up $9.99 and since it didn’t register as part of the buy 2/$12 the other polish top coat rang up $7.99. It also didn’t apply half of the $5/2 from the savings book. Ended up being an almost $9 error. They fixed it and made everything right but ALWAYS check your receipt.

So true. 8 times out of 10 something on my receipt at Walgreens rings up at the wrong price. It seems to be almost every time that I go at least one item is the wrong price on the receipt. I did the gel nail polish deal on Sunday they came up correct but the Complete Manicure did not come up as the sale price of 2 for $12. Also i did the buy 2 get one dental deal and that was a big mess. I had 3 colgate ecoupons loaded on my card. I was using the one for toothpaste( $3.99) and the one for a toothbrush( $4.29).They were each $3.00 coupons.I purchased walgreens denture cream that should have been free( $3.49 )because it was marked on the shelf at a lower price than the toothpaste and the toothbrush, but the item rang up ($4.49) for more than the shelf sticker price. Which made everything mess up only one coupon for $3.00 came off and the toothpaste became the free item. With the nail polish mistake it was a total of almost $10.00 mistake with the coupon not coming off,the item ringing up the wrong price and not being free.

Thanks! Worked so well. Got two gel ($2.49 each) and one salon (1.99 clearance). After Walgreens coupon and checkout51 rebate it was a $4 moneymaker! My daughter loves nail art so this is great.

Did this really work with the coupon to get them for free? I figured the coupon would not come off since they were less than the price.

  6. Bhavna

I have same problem at stores where I buy. The computer does not accepts the coupon if the product price is less than coupon.

    • Beth (Walgreens Sidekick)

Hello, if you are using a walgreens store coupon it will automatically adjust to zero out the item. Only manufacture coupons over the item amount will beep. hth.

      • Renee

Wish I had known that yesterday. My store was fully stocked with all the clearance colors. Today at 5pm, nothing. Must be a lot off hip 2 savers in my area. 😉

I have used coupons then tried to get the rebates from checkout 51 and they were denied because of the coupon usage.
