Submit for the $12 mail-in rebate found here
Final Cost $10.88 – that’s just $2.18 per quart!
NOTE: The Terms & Conditions of the rebate offer provide a list of some participating retailers and Walmart is not on this list. However, this same rebate has been offered in year’s past and readers who purchased from Walmart always received their rebate in full.
Does it have to be the store receipt or can I submit the online invoice ?
You will just need to submit an image of your proof of purchase. Hope this helps!
I just looked up a 5 at bottle of regular 5W-30 on Amazon – 15.97. 5 one quart bottles on Walmart is $22.35. Even when you factor in the $7 rebate, it’s only .62 more on Amazon, delivered to your door, and no waiting on a rebate.
That’s “5 qt bottle”
Amazon has 5 qt jugs of Mobil 1 5W-30 for $22.88…

terms and conditions of the rebate clearly note at the end of the first paragraph, in bold type:
Limited to purchases made at participating retailers; excludes online purchases made at Amazon.com. Rebate not valid on oil change services.
Interestingly, the list of participating retailers begins with:
Some participating retailers include:
WalMart is not on that list, but “some…include”, by definition, is loose and far from inclusive.
Makes it sound like honoring the rebate may well be arbitrary, as long as the purchase ISN’T made through Amazon.com.
FWIW, i’ve successfully purchased Mobil One (need to run Dexos approved for warranty adherence) this way in the past, over several years but have not gone through WalMart; haven’t wanted to run the risk of rebate denial.
There is a $5 ibotta rebate on 5 gal. Mobil oil at Walmart!
We do this twice a year-saves a ton. 😊💥
How cool! Thanks for sharing Heather! Glad to hear you have been able to snag the savings! 😉
I don’t see Walmart on the list of participating stores? Am I missing it?
You right I don’t see in the list
Hi Sarah! You are correct that it’s not listed as a participating store, but as we mentioned in the post above, “this same rebate has been offered in year’s past and readers who purchased from Walmart always received their rebate in full.” I hope this helps. 😀
I purchased my motor oil from Walmart a few weeks ago and received my rebate last week.
The Ibotta is $5 back only on Mobil one annual protection motor oil….
On the printable form it looks like you can get 2 rebates? Is that 2 total or 2 per item? Can anyone clarify?
Here is what I find in the details: “Limit two (2) rebates per household, regardless of rebate amount and regardless of submission method”. Hope this helps!
I never received my e-gift card. I still have the electronic copy of my receipt. is there a link to check my status? I bought and filled out the rebate in APRIL.
