While we are on the Free National park entrance subject, I do want to add since not everybody is aware, that if you are military affiliated you can get in Free every day, you just show up to any National park and show your military ID and you Can get a free year family pass for entrance into any national park, us being a family of 6 we’ve saved a lot since we live 30 minutes from Joshua Tree, next stop is The Grand Canyon..Totally Free,.cant beat it 🙂

The military and their families definitely deserve this perk and much, much more! I wonder if there could be a post here that describes ways military families can save money…

To celebrate the 101st birthday of the National Park Service on August 25, 2017, the NPS and the National Park Foundation are inviting visitors of all ages to NPS.

I had the privilege of being at Walnut Canyon today for #62 of 62 plaques that had been presented to some of the National Park Service sites around the U.S. through the years. We all had a great time and heard some great stories from retired Park Service employees. I hope everyone gets a chance to visit some of our great parks in their areas.
