I love this thing. I’ve been using it multiple times a day for almost a year I think. Every day it makes amazing espresso, and as long as I keep it clean it preforms beautifully. This thing is also easier to maintain and requires less cleaning than other cheaper espresso machines I’ve tried.
I feel like a total Barista in my own home. “Pulling” a cup of espresso and the related varieties of drinks is now a bit of a hobby, and this machine works great!
I don’t often write reviews, but this product really deserves it! Beyond giving me outstanding coffee every day, exceeding what I get from most coffee shops and blowing Starbucks away, it’s a delight to the senses! The hiss of the steam pressure, extracting the beans, the whoosh and gurgling of the frothing of milk – oh, and the TASTE of the coffee! Truly fantastic coffee, every day!
I love my Barista Express! I’ve had it for a couple of months now and just use it on weekend to make iced vanilla lattes. It’s super easy to use and clean. I’m not a professional barista, so I can’t speak to how well it performs against more expensive machines or how well you can pull shots from it, but it’s incredibly simple to reproduce something you’d spend $5 on at Starbucks.
Thank you so much!!!
You’re so welcome!
You have got to make a lot of lattes for this to be worth it! Great if you have a shop.
We’ve had this machine for over 3 years now and we love it. Makes great coffee. We always froth milk directly in the cup and then just make espresso in the same cup for a great latte, so its easier to clean up. And looks like 2% milk works the best. As a final touch I always use a little bit of good honey to substitute sugar, it gives some body/volume to it. We have had 3-4 cheaper espresso machines and this one is worth every penny. Try with Seattle’s Best whole beans #3, with all the coupons its so worth it. You really don’t have to spend arm and leg on coffee beans to have a great cup of coffee. Even if you spend 3 bucks on latte from Starbucks everyday, this machine will start saving you money in 6 months or so. Don’t get me wrong but I don’t understand why Starbucks is so popular here, I am originally from Europe and honestly we have same ‘quality’ coffee at any gas station π Not trying to be rude, it’s a matter of taste, just my 2 cents. We paid 600 bucks for ours, so less than 5 is a great price. Would not hesitate to buy it again. I would recommend Delonghi as a cheaper alternative if you are on a tight budget, they also come with 15 bar pumps. But this one is a wonderful machine!
So awesome to hear Xenia, thanks so much for sharing! Happy to hear you LOVE yours! π
We have a Jura Impressa which is similar and we do not for one second regret the cost. If you use several k cups a day a Jura will pay for itself in a year since it uses whole bean coffee and any kind makes fantastic coffee.
I have a jura as well and completely agree! Much more economical than Nespresso, too. Pays for itself in a few months from the savings of purchasing whole bean coffee. If you love coffee and drink it every day, it’s worth the investment.
Got it for my hubby for Christmas! Thanks for posting, a deal on this brand is rare!!
You’re so welcome Susan!
So at $459 and an average latte being $4, that means you would have to buy roughly 114 lattes a year to make it worth it. For daily drinkers, you figure 5 lattes a week since the average person works 5 days a week. 52 weeks in a year means that roughly 261 days you will spent 4 bucks on a latte. That equals $1,044. So basically if you are a daily latte kind of gal, you are definitely going to save money. Even if you drink 3 lattes a week all year Long, thats $522. I may be a nerd
Wow… thanks for the breakdowns Jessica! You’re awesome!! π
This is sooo tempting. I love my ninja but have wanted an espresso machine for a few years.
Thank you for posting high end deals as well as our normal super cheap deals. Love this site and the variety it offers!!
You’re so welcome! π
Thank you so much for posting this! I have had this same machine for years, but it seems to be nearing the end of its time after being used almost every day for so long. I almost bought one last week, but I’m so glad I waited. This machine is worth every penny if you are an espresso fan. I no longer go to to Starbucks because the drinks I make at home are so much better.
You’re very welcome Amy!
I love this site, the deals you post are always awesome, just got the twin bunk beds from Walmart from the last week deal that this site posted! I love these deals! Thank you!
You’re so welcome! So glad you were able to snag those bunk beds!
Thank you! Hubby’s wanted one of these for years, and will be stoked when he unwraps it at Christmas…if I can wait that long to give it to him. π
You’re quite welcome, Angela! What an awesome Christmas gift!
I have owned my Breville for 2 1/2 years now and I love it! I first bought it for a small espresso bar at my brothers restaurant but then I found a more steady income so I took it home and it now sits on my dresser right next to my bed..I use it about 3-8 times a day and make sure to descale it at least every other month to keep it functioning properly. This little machine will make latte art all day if you know how to froth well and the included frothing pitcher works great for frothing but for pouring I use Barista Dritan Alselas frothing pitchers. For 459.99 that is a great deal! I bought mine used at around 430 years ago if you ever decide to sell the Breville you will be happy to know they keep their value well! Happy international coffee day to all πβοΈ
How cool! Thanks for the awesome feedback! Glad to hear how much you have enjoyed yours!

Thank you so much for this post! I have been researching espresso machines and had picked this one out, but was still struggling with the $599 price. I got this yesterday and went through ibotta to get another 3% off! So excited to start making delicious coffees. My MIL has the high-end version of this machine and it is amazing!! They got it after getting back from Italy and realizing they needed a machine that made Italy qualify coffee.
