Too bad people sign up but then don’t bother to check. Not a sore looser, just someone who thinks that if you sign up be respectful to others and play right. It almost looks like more were not claimed than claimed. Not fair to those who might actually need this.
Keep in mind, due to work, some may not be able to check every hour. Also, people still have appointments, heaven forbid an emergency, or just had some great family time which is more memorable than winning a gift card in the grand scheme of life. I was able to check each hour, but I know for various reasons, not everyone has the luxury to do so. It really doesn’t have anything to do with respect or playing right. Even if I couldn’t check every hour, I would still sign up in hopes that the hours I was able to check, my name would be there.

Yes! I wasn’t able to check every hour but I sure checked when I could. Life gets in the way and unfortunately I couldn’t check every hour. I was still grateful for the chance though. Of course it would be nice to win but I am happy for those who did. Can’t wait to do this again next year.

it sounds like you are saying that if someone absolutely cannot sit at their computer all day, then those people should not be allowed to sign up at all. how is that more fair? i guess pregnant people who may go into labor, or EMTs, firemen, etc. should not be allowed to play, according to your rules. also, no people who have a flight scheduled, or people in other countries who may miss one of the posts due to time differences. only you get to decide who is worthy to play.
it’s possible that the prizes that go unclaimed early in the day boost the values later in the day for the remaining players, we don’t know.
You have completely taken what I said out of context. It is amazing all the positive “goodwill “ until you say an opinion that is not in line with the majority. Wow, way to show your true colors. AKa your opinion!

It would great if the prizes were offered a second time to the original or new winners during the last drawing. It’s a wonderful thing they’re doing either way.

I wonder how its not fair. It’s a chance drawing, offered with generosity by the hip2save team, and no ones entitled to it. Its random from thousands and thousands of names. Some get picked, some don’t. Yeah, someone might need it more than another but that doesn’t mean they should automatically get it. Who wouldn’t love the prize? It would help anyone who won. Its unfortunate for those who didn’t claim it, but who knows what was going on preventing them from it. Illness, family, travel, etc. Nothing for any of us who didn’t win to be bitter over. If they claimed it or not, doesn’t increase the chance of those who didn’t. It’s random draw from loads of names, like a lottery.

I’m pretty sure Amazon sponsors the gift cards and if not claimed they are not redeemed or deducted by Amazon. I have done many giveaways for a company I used to work for and that is how we conducted giveaways. I could be wrong, but H2S isn’t out the money, the advertising they do for Amazon is why Amazon sponsors giveaways like this. Every time you click on the Amazon links through H2S and make a purchase it’s like Ebates – H2S gets a percentage% of the sale, how else would they be able to make money and pay for this wonderful website, the H2S team wages – not to mention its free advertising for Amazon, like all year free! I think its so sweet people are worried about where the money goes – as if it’s lost, but it’s just never redeemed, Amazon only pays out the winners. It’s always fun to play, I’m just amazed that you get a person every year who complains or is upset they didn’t win. It’s a game, thousands enter, chances of winning are like 1 in a 1000. Be grateful, have courage, and show kindness, and many thanks to H2S for the fun.

Please, no whining here. We should all be grateful for the great savings we are able to achieve by following hip2save on a regular basis. I am a senior on a fixed income. and am able to acquire many things I could not otherwise buy due to the diligence and hard work of Collin and the Hip crew. I am not entitled to win because I can be at my computer or on my phone throughout the day. If I win great. If not, I have enjoyed the journey as I have for 4 or 5 years now.
