While everyone is reveling in delicious, free Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, here is the truth about this ice cream. Its glyphosate residues are toxic in small doses,, bad for climate, bad forVermont family farms, and bad for Vermont waterways. Please see flyer for details. I’ll explain a bit of it here. Ben and Jerry ice cream, its website notwithstanding, is a factory farm product. Ben and Jerry cows are fed GMO corn laced with the herbicide glyphosate. 10 out of 11 samples of their ice cream show significant levels of glyphosate, which hurts health in small amounts. The GMO corn stops soil from drawing down and sequestering carbon. Unilever makes this ice cream; it’s Ben and Jerry’s in name only. Shameless deception all around.
