Game Winning Philly Cheesesteak Party Sliders
Love Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches?
Get all the same yummy flavors in these mini Philly Cheesesteak party sliders! Enjoy them as a hearty and satisfying appetizer this Fall, just in time for football watching and entertaining. Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches are an incredible crowd-pleasing idea that’s both easy to make and insanely delicious!
Easy & quick process
Soft Hawaiian dinner rolls get layered with thinly sliced steak, diced peppers, onions, and mushrooms then melted together with a buttery garlic glaze. I used a pre-cooked steak product called Steak-Umms, found in the frozen aisle. It turned out yummy in these sandwiches, as it’s sliced super thin and easy to eat. I’m sure you could substitute with deli-sliced roast beef if desired.
Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Mini Philly Cheesesteak inspired sliders melted cheese and meat perfection!
Ingredients
- 12 mini rolls (such as Hawaiian Rolls)
- 9 oz. box frozen thinly sliced steak (such as Steak Umms)
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 an onion, diced
- 5 mushrooms, diced
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
Directions
1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut rolls down the middle horizontally, and place bottom portion into a greased casserole dish. (Note: I think it's easier to just keep all the rolls attached and cut through the middle.)
2
In a skillet on the stove, saute steak with soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce until no longer pink. Set aside.
3
Saute onions, bell pepper, and mushroom until soft.
4
Layer rolls first with steak, then veggies, and finally the sliced provolone. Place the other half of rolls on top.
5
Cover dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Mix together melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley. After the first 10 minutes of bake time, butter the tops of rolls and place back in the oven, without foil, for another 10 minutes.

Don’t skip the buttery glaze!
Well you can, but the glaze throws it over the top GOOD! I love the kind of garlic bread crusted top the butter gives these sandwiches. You won’t regret this small extra step!
Gone in minutes!
If you’ve got a hungry crowd, these will be devoured fast! Consider making a couple batches for larger parties. I think it’d be easy to prep them ahead of time and pop them in the oven before serving!
I can’t wait to make these again for football season. Enjoy!
Lina, this looks so good I want to eat my phone right now. Wow! Melty, cheesy deliciousness with a buttery garlic top. I’m in!
YES!! You’ll love ❤️LOL Thanks Christina!
As a Philly girl, it always gets me a little when people refer to everything with steak involved as a “Philly cheesesteak.” While this looks amazing, it in no way resembles the ingredients in an actual Philly cheesesteak. There are no peppers or mushrooms on a cheesesteak, and we’d never use Provolone cheese. American or cheesewiz only.
Thanks for the info! This would be easy to change the name of recipe, or any or all ingredients to make it your own, or to suit your taste. <3
Thank you for such a gracious answer to comment that could have been left unsaid. A skill I obviously need work on. 😂
Lol
Wow. Where I come from Jessica is spelled with only one s. It always gets me when people spell it with 2. While it’s a beautiful name, spelling it with 2 s’s no way resembles the actual way it’s intended to be spelled.
I agree with Jessica though. I clicked on the recipe just to see the ingredients cause my curiosity gets the best of me. Snark will always follow a post like hers, but you have to admit she is correct.
I also agree with Jessica. Cheesesteaks are serious business in this area of the country! Just ask Pat’s, Geno’s, and Tony Luke’s. Go Eagles!
LOL. There’s always that one person that has to be the food police. How about live and let live?
😂😂
OMG! Who cares how it’s spelled, Where I come from it is spelled with 2 s’s. This is a recipe page for crying out loud.
Yes but this is way better than cheese wiz. And peppers and mushrooms improve anything.
Philly suburbs gal.
Looks AMAZING! Thank you!!
Oh you’re welcome Cami!

Made these yesterday- was a HIT! Will definitely make again!
That’s so exciting! Thanks for sharing!
I just made these over the past weekend. Subbed chicken for steak and they were really good. Actually going to make them again this weekend too!
That’s great news!
Would these be ok to eat for keto except omit the rolls? I’m new to keto and have lots to learn
It could however- here’s another similar option we have on our Keto website —> https://hip2keto.com/recipe/low-carb-philly-cheesesteak-stuffed-peppers/
Don’t forget the carbs in the Worcestshire and the onions…just make sure that it fits your macros (for keto it’s generally <20g carbs a day to maintain ketosis) and you'll be fine.
I made these and they were absolutely delicious. Every one of my ten kids ate them! And liked them! 😂👍
Awesome! That’s so great, thanks for sharing 😀
This recipe is so good! I’ve been making them about every 6 weeks for dinner and everyone gobbles them up! It’s easy and flavorful, a real winner in my house!
Oh I’m so glad! Thanks for sharing Chris 👍
My husband is from PA….. Born and raised. I’m a midwestern girl and anytime I make this recipe he LOVES IT and yet always has to remind me it’s a “cheese steak and NOT a Philly cheese steak cuz we ain’t in Philly”. Lol either way we love this one ♥️
Ha thats funny! Thanks for sharing!
