Woot Woot!!! I’ll be doing some retail therapy at Target next week.
Yay! Glad to hear it!
Is this valid one time only?
Yes this offer does have a limit of one!
Can you use on GC?
Hey there Sandy! Nope, it appears this offer excludes gift cards.
I wish I didn’t just see this 😂
😉
Does the extra 10% work for Disney gift cards? I can’t find the answer
I was wondering the same thing!
I’m wondering this as well!
I would love to know this as well!!
I want to know too!!
Probably not, but that was the first thing that came to my mind too!!
I hope it does!
Hello there! I am sorry, this offer appears to exclude all gift cards. Bummer!
Was wondering the same about gift cards!
I wonder if they changed it. I bought Disney tickets at Target and got 5% off. I also bought Disney gift cards but I can’t rememeber what it took off of.
You can still get your 5% off, but not the additional 10% from this deal. They were included the first couple of times they did this deal, but tis’ been excluded for years now.
I wonder if there are any exclusions. My son has been saving for a Nintendo Switch, and this would get him most of the way, and I also wonder about the Disney Gift Cards!!
Bummer… it appears that this offer excludes Nintendo hardware and games.
I wonder if it can also stack with my baby registry discount…. It would be an awesome time to stock up on diapers…
I’m wondering this as well!
I got a single use 10% in July and it wouldn’t even stack with the diapers gift card offer 😭
*This offer is only available in Target App and may require your REDcard to be included in your Target.com profile. One time use only. Valid between 9/16 – 9/22. Not valid at Target.com. Excludes alcohol, Apple products, Bose, clinic and pharmacy, dairy milk, DSLR cameras and lenses, Dyson upright vacuums, Elf on the Shelf, Fitbit, Gift Cards, Google Home/Mini/Max, GoPro, JBL, LEGO, LG OLED TV, L.O.L, Surprise House, Mobile Contracts, Nintendo Hardware & Switch Games, Power Shave, Power Dental, Prepaid Cards, PS4 Hardware, Samsung TVs, Sonos, Target Optical, Tile, Traeger, Tylenol Pain Relief, Vitamix, Weber, Xbox One Hardware.
Thanks Katie for details. Oh…. then cannot apply on Disney gift card :,(
I wanted to use it for the same thing. Darn!
It might be worth it to check with customer service with this. Last time they did something like this around Christmas time ( I don’t remember the exact promotion), I was able to do the Disney card thing. Target gift cards were excluded but they considered the Disney cards entertainment cards, or something like that. I would ask before buying for sure but there’s not harm in checking into it.
Hi there, I tried the coupon for the Disneyland tickets (not gift cards) and it does not work. The person on online chat thought it would, but in store it would not ring up. The person at customer service tried really hard to help me out, but I was only able to get the normal 5% off with the redcard (which is still great for disney!).
Thanks for sharing!
Well you just burst my bubble lol
Thanks so much for the helpful feedback!
If you sign up after September 16th do you get the coupon AND get to use the extra 10% off?
I have a red card, how do you get the coupon? Is it emailed to you?
It’ is available only for Target app users
I have a 20% coupon for car seat, 15% baby registry coupon, and a red card. Can this be combined with other promos I wonder?
I’m wondering this as well!
Hey there Jess! I am unsure if all of these offers will stack. You may want to reach out to Target customer service regarding that question!
Or Universal gift cards?!
Can you stack this with the car seat Trade in coupon?
separate thing, i got an email saying it was my red card anniversary and i get 10% off my purchase. i got it over month ago and it expires soon so i will use it soon. I never got one before and i’ve had the red card for years, anyways nice perk. this deal too!
Same thing I received as well..
Since this 10% is only available to Target app users, me and my non-smartphone are apparently OOL. Story of my life…
Hi- before I got a smart phone I used to go on cartwheel on my laptop click the items or coupons I wanted and then just carried a copy of my cartwheel barcode scanner I printed at home n my wallet for the cashier to scan. It always worked great. This was about 2 years ago I think so I can’t guarantee it still can work that way but maybe worth trying? Good luck😊
Oh I forgot to mention my coupons and offers appear in my cartwheel app so I am not sure if that is what they meant by target app?
Hi, Brianna. I am familiar with the using the barcode scanner on Target. It works fine as long as you remember to take a copy with you to the store. The info in this column indicates Target app and no other option. Maybe it would work with the scanned barcode, but I assumed it didn’t. Maybe someone else knows the answer to that question.
Am I the only one who has never gotten a !0% off coupon on anniversary even though I’ver had the card for years?
No, you’re not alone, I’ve not gotten the anniversary discount either…bummer!
There’s an anniversary discount?!?!? I have never received one in my years of having a red card.
I’ve never received the anniversary coupon either. I wonder if it’s maybe only for the credit card holders? Cause I just have their debit card…
Haha I was thinking the same thing! I’ve had the card 5 years and never received a 10% for a cardiversary😂
Same here, I’ve had the card for years and have never received a coupon. hopefully this year. Disappointed we can’t use coupon on LOL dolls…darn!
Me neither.
I wonder if this would work for the smartwatches, such as Samsung? I did not see smart watches on the exclusion list?
hey there Kathleen! I am not seeing them on the excluded list either. 🙂
There’s an anniversary coupon? Who knew!😮
Drat! I don’t have a Target close to me. I do a lot of shopping on their website but I’ll miss out on this deal.
Dang. I wish it with worked on Eyewear. Should I buy Echo now or wait for black Friday deal
I hope they have some great deals during that week
Excludes gift cards
What does it mean “will be on the app 9-16”. Does that mean I have to scan the app barcode to get the discount?
Yes, that is correct Pat! Just as you would a Cartwheel offer. Hope that helps!
I have both and received a 10% off for both cards. It’s an email that says Target Anniversary. Ladies may want to check your junk emails and settings on your Redcard account.
Oh awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Can this be used more than once? If I go to Target multiple times that week (which is very likely), will it automatically come off everytime I use my app at checkout?
I believe it was mentioned above that it is one time use only. HTH
Hi there! This offer has a limit of one.
I only have the debit card and received the anniversary 10% in August.
Will this work with the trade in car seat coupon as well?
Hi Shelly! Yes! I just spoke with customer service and they will work together! Yay!
That stinks! I know you can use your 5% red card discount on gift cards and in the past they have allowed you to use your 10% off on gift cards. 😬😣
I just bought a bunch of stuff on clearance 50-70% off today…does anyone know if I take the coupon in next week if they’ll price adjust?
No, you can not get a further discount on clearance. You also can’t return and rebuy as the merchandise has
to be put out on the sales floor before it can be resold (can’t be resold to you at the Service Counter)
I shop at target fairly regularly, but I do not have a red card. Is it worth having? Is it a basically a store charge card? Any insight appreciated!
Definitely worth having! You don’t necessarily have to get the CC. They have a Target Debit Card that links right to your bank account – that’ll still allow you to get your 5% REDcard discount!
It is a visa card and can be used at others stores also.
The newer cards are just department store cards like Kohls. They no longer issue the Visa card.
If you don’t want the credit card you can just get the debit card which has the same benefits if I’m not mistaken. Debit card usually hit your bank account within 24-48 hours. I have the debit card and we use it a lot.
States “L.O.L, Surprise House”— Confused if this is L.O.L. AND Surprises House.. OR if just the L.O.L. Surprise house is excluded.
Can I stack this with the 20% car seat trade in coupon?
Oops, just saw the answer to my question earlier in the thread 🙂
No worries! Glad you found the answer you were looking for!
As if I needed another reason to LOVE Target 🙄 Gahh. Seriously my weakness!
Can I shop online and have it delivered to the store, then return it, then buy it? Asking for a friend 😉
You can prob go to the customer service desk and ask for a “price adjustment” instead of doing the return etc
YOu would have to wait for the merchandise to be returned to the sales floor before you can repurchase it.
When it says one time use, that means I have to purchase everything at once? Or it literally only works on 1 single item?
Ok I have the app and red card.. does it automatically take off the10 percent of you click on the barcode and use your red card? Or do you need to add it into your cartwheel. I just don’t it.
Just figured it out. 🙂
After you add the RedCard to your wallet, wait 10-20 minutes and then go back in. (It took at least this long for me.)
Go to the Wallet, you’ll see a “coupons” section. You’ll see two “tabs” – on the above tab, it’s titled “thank you” and the coupon is there to scan.
Hi – Could you advise – exactly – where i should see the 10% offer? i.e. include a screenshot if possible. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find it. Thanks!!!!!
Hi there! Be sure to head over to this new post for more instructions! https://hip2save.com/2018/09/16/extra-10-off-entire-in-store-target-purchase-for-redcard-holders/ Hope that helps!
Perfect – Thanks so much Amber!
You’re welcome!
Okay, I am in the app, my red card is connected… where do I find this magical 10% off to show at the store?
Never mind. It just refreshed and popped in there. Yay!
Woohoo! SO glad you found it! Thanks for the update!
