Kroger Grocery Pickup

Sent from reader, Sherris:

Give your local grocery pickup a try!

This week I gave my local Kroger grocery pickup a try! I was very impressed! For starters I was able to get all these items in the photo for FREE! One was a “Friday Freebie” and the others were all digital coupon freebies with a “ClickList” order.

Plus I was offered a digital coupon for $20 off my ClickList order of $50 or more! 😯 I saved $60.55 and only spent $37.57! The customer service was incredible! Some of the items I ordered were out of stock and they replaced these items with larger quantity items giving me an even better deal. 😁

The best part though was that I didn’t even have to leave my car to save this much on groceries! I was not sure about this pickup service myself, so I wanted to share my good experience with everyone. I hope a lot more people find it as helpful and time/money savings as I do!

Note: Not all these offers are still available! Check your ClickList digital coupon offers to see what offers are available for you!

Ha! I placed my order with all that free stuff earlier today. I’m going to pick it up shortly.
    👍🏼

  2. J

Got all my goodies (plus a few others) just earlier! Love Clicklist!

  3. NicoleD

Yes, they have been offering some awesome freebies lately, along with high-value coupons. And it’s free to try the first three times. Has been a great service to try between the deals and not wanting to shop with a fussy baby lately. Would highly recommend!

  4. jean

Even sweeter, when you go to pick up, you can let the person know you have coupons and the pick up person will then take the coupons off your receipt!! (not to mention all the other digital coupons that will be applied)

  5. Dreylawn

Do the regular E-cpns work with click list?

    • J

Yes! Can score some great deals! They usually have just Clicklist ones that are super high value! Makes the pickup charge worth it!

  6. Ihearthip

Oh yeah! I scored all those too, except the Plumbr, bc my store didn’t have it. Kroger pickup has been a life changer for me!

  7. Tiffany

So when do the freebies come off? I added them to my cart…clipped the coupon and added my payment info in and it is still showing a charge

    • Lisa

The coupons come off when you pick up the order. They give you a regular receipt and it shows all of your discounts. I didn’t see them before checking out either.

    • Char

The digital coupons won’t come off your total until you pick up your order and officially check out. Also, a hold is put on your account (debit or credit card) for the amount before coupons. After a few days, it switches from a pending to a posted transaction with the correct amount reflecting the deducted coupons. I hold on to the receipt they give me when I pick up my order until the transaction switches to posted to ensure that the correct amount was deducted.

      • Tiffany

Thanks for all your guys help!

  8. Laura

Does this work at Mariano’s? I am new to this. I see Clicklist but no digital coupons…

  9. Micala

I did this exact scenario this morning!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 So thankful for the clicklist option.

  10. Sandy

How did you get the $20/50? Thanks!

  11. Irene

Does anyone know what the etiquette is for tipping?

    • RC

I believe the Kroger employees are not allowed to accept tips for Click List orders.

    • Karin Jaros

Was told by the staff that tipping is not allowed. I offered a tip and it was refused. I recently tried Clicklist, due to a promotion, thinking that it would not be a service I would use but I loved it. Great service! Easy, quick and good prices. Highly recommend! Even for bargain shoppers!

    • Jessy

This is what the website says:
      Are tips accepted for Pickup?
While it is appreciated, our Associates do not accept tips.

    • Elle

If you are having your Clicklist delivered to your house, tips are accepted and very much appreciated. Kroger only pays the person a flat rate of $8 to pickup and deliver your groceries in their car using their gas and miles….no matter how far they are driving.

  12. Victoria

Thanks for sharing! I just submitted my order. Tillamook is my very favorite, so I’m stoked to get it for free.

  13. Leslie

If they substitute do you get charged more?

    • Crystal

      Leslie,

I have done clicklist at least 6 times, and I have never had them charge me extra for a substitute. For example, I had a free digital coupon for a salad dressing. They didn’t have it, so I got a better brand substitution also for free. I hope this helps.

      • Leslie

Thank you so much! That’s what I was worried about. Didn’t know if should put substitute on free item or Friday/Saturday special price items. Thank you again. Made my first order and hoping for the best. 🤞🏼

So, I’ve already done my three free trips for checklist at smiths/kroger. Think it’s still a good deal when being charged the $5 pick up fee?

    • Char

I don’t think it would be worth it for me, BUT there are often digital coupons for free pickup when you buy certain items.

  15. Elizabeth Cooper

Tried it today!! It was great! $28.70. Saved $40.68! The $20 off $50 got my attention!! I have RA. This is fantastic for me!!

  16. LaToya

Where’d the $20 off $50 come from? Email or … ? I didn’t see it on the site with all the coupons.

  17. Lisa McWow

The only thing I don’t like is not knowing your exact total. They should definitely fix that.

    • LaToya

I kind of agree …. BUT …. I have never had a problem. I mean never. I check all my digital coupons, match them up with what I have in the cart, have a number of what it should be pre-tax, and when I get there it’s A L W A Y S been right. The only issue I’ve ever had is when they sub something. Like last night when I picked up my order they were out of the free maple Cheerios and subbed it for a regular Cheerios. Yeah, no. I’m not tryna get free plain Cheerios – LOL – so I saved it to use again another time when they had it in stock.

    • A

I agree. I used this when it very first launched and my total was ALWAYS wrong. I write down all coupons I’m expecting and double check it before signing. They have always gone above and beyond to correct any mistakes.

    • Tricia

They can only approximate your total, because it depends on your pickup day. If you create your order on a Tuesday, then pick up on a Wednesday, the prices you are charged will be the price of the items on your pickup day, not your order day. Around here, the new ads begin on Wednesday. Also, make sure your coupons don’t expire before your pickup day.

  18. Simone

There are two money off coupons out there. I had to do an internet search to find them and load them to my account. 10 off 50 and 20 off 50. They work together for 30 off 50.

  19. Judy Trac

I got a bunch of free stuff with this program lol

  20. christy PAUTUK

I use click list a lot and like but I’ve also had to go back for missing items and most of the time the free promotional items are sold out.

  21. Dallas

My first experience was the same, I loved it and saved over $60! Plus I was able to use the Ibotta app to get even more money back…I was hooked. My next time shopping was a bust. The buy5save5 is really hard to work out, some items are in the ad and some are advertised in the store, some are on the app or website, nothing is consistent though and if they are out of an item it screws up your deals big time. It works great for small orders that utilize the click list offers but it becomes a huge time wasting hassle with my family. They could really work on the ease of use and have a great service! Definitely Walmart’s Pick Up is better and the app is way way easier to use. The downside is you can’t use coupons.
