Not worth any amount of money, IMHO. We had two of these that came with our phones the last time we upgraded. My husband and I both charge at night; he switches the phones out when he goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night. So we decided to only open one. I ended up selling the other. We hated it! You had to get your phone lying on it just right for it to charge—and that “perfect spot” could change frequently. It was annoying. At least with a cord you (1) know your phone is for sure charging and (2) can still use your phone while it charges.
Agreed, I prefer putting money into a charging case. Charging pad is only good for someone who is listening to music and doesn’t plan on touching their phone for an hour. Or for people who charge at night.
Thanks for posting this!! I recently splurged and finally bought myself an iPhone. I’ve been looking for a wireless charger to make charging my phone convenient after reading in bed. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about most wireless chargers having a sweet spot and to make sure your phone is actually charging. Now I’m prepared. There should be a sound and a glowing light to let you know it’s charging. This is the highest reviewed charger on Macworld. I’m excited!
