Does this work on it’s own or do you have to have google home for it.

    • Jay

It needs wifi and Google home app on your phone to work best. I have the large and small speaker. Both are great.

Does anyone know if this works with an iPhone and more specifically iTunes music? I bought the Amazon echo to do the same thing and of course it does not work with iPhones. Thanks!

    • Liz

The only way you can play your music on a google device is if you transmit it from bluetooth. That’s what I do but you can’t ask Google to search a song on your iTunes. Hope that helps!

    • Joss

Can you see temperature on this?

      • Elizabeth

If you ask Google what the temperature is, but it doesn’t seem to keep the temperature up all the time, only for a minute after you ask.

This speaker is a good speaker. It is not wireless as it plugs into wall. It uses Bluetooth. I use my I phone with it often.

Thank you SO much!!!! I sat on this when it was $25 and then when I was going to buy a couple days ago it went back up to $99 and I was so bummed. So I am so excited to see it’s back and for cheaper!!!! Thank you for posting this!

We got this last year. It works sort of like an Alexa. You can’t ask it to play certain songs though, unless you have a Google music subscription. But it will play music playlists, kind of like pandora. For example, you can say “play some Christmas music”. You can also set alarms, timers, etc. you can ask it the weather and all sorts of other questions (kind of like Siri). The speaker sounds decent. We have this and the Alexa. I like the Alexa better (a bit more user friendly), but we still use this all the time.

We’ve had this for about a year. We have several google Minis as well. This does exactly what a mini does, once you set it up using the Google home app on your phone.

FYI first time using Google express you save 20% up to $20! I have multiple Google accounts so saved a lot today!
And Best Buy has the cardboard bricks for kids for $12.99(usually $30) and you get 20% off! I’ve wanted to purchase forever but they are usually way too expensive!

HA HA HA I got one!!!! The website kept saying that there wasn’t one within 250 miles of my house. I clicked on it again and it said one was 35 miles from home. Strange….. I tried again and it said nope not within 250 again. I tried one more time and it finally displayed a local store ( from my work address ) that had one. I was able to purchase it. I can pick it up on my way home from work.

Yipee, my alarm clock has seen better days and decided to stop working last week. Now I’m feeling lucky, I might get some lottery tickets!!!!
