How does this compare to the Instant Pot?

    • Alicia

In looking at the reviews and comparing this brand to the Instant Pot–it’s the same concept just a different brand name. I just bought 2–you can’t go wrong with the price of $30.

Instant pot frequently goes on sale. It is the best of the best and if any issues happen their customer service is amazing. You want a stainless steal inner pot. Definitely recommend the instant pot brand.

I own this and am very impressed! It’s def worth $30! Not sure what is so special about the stainless steel pot, but I actually prefer and appreciate the nonstick one that comes w this.

People prefer stainless likely from the pre 2013 non stick cookware that contained PFOEs that are toxic and fumes are emitted when you cook with them. Even new ones above 570° fume. Unless a later study shows new non stick pots to be unsafe/unhealthy I’m sure it’s ok. But with stainless there’s no chance of toxic chemical fumes or leaching into your food.

I bought one last week for this price but it’s wrapped under the Christmas tree. 😂 I added a note from Santa saying that mommy needs a break in cooking and now everyone can help make dinner. It got great reviews. It has a non stick insert. You can purchase the stainless steel bowl for another $20. It does not have a yogurt function like the instant pot. However I did watch some videos on how you can make yogurt in this one (a bit more steps but doable). Last week they had two models on sale. The one ending in (8) has a low, medium, high power option in one of the menus. The one ending in (9) does not. I really don’t know how much I’ll use it so this price works for me!!

I got this from the last sale, but now it’s just sitting on my counter. I’m a little intimidated by it. Can anyone provide some true and proven recipes?

    • dana

You can use it like any other pot with any recipes you like have fun

I own this and have for about 6 months. Love it! The Instant Pot I think has the extra yogurt feature but I’d personally never use that. And I prefer the nonstick pot personally. Even when the Instant Pot is on sale it’s like double the price of this cooker. No issues with it functionally and it has made my life easier!

  6. Pam Cunningham

I may be sound stupid, but could you use this for canning in the summer?

  7. Noor

I got this on Monday, love it. It’s a reolice to the instant lot bit cheaper, make asian cocinut chicken with blended spices. I be using it more often. Get it while you can because they will increase the price from time to time. Paid $32.16 total.
