This dehydrator has great reviews…
I absolutely love this food dehydrator! I have a much smaller one that couldn’t hold much and it was frustrating to go to the effort to prep food to dry only to be able to do so little of it at a time, so I took the plunge and bought this Excalibur model and am so happy I made the change. This dehydrator fits on my kitchen counter and under the cabinets just fine and it has enough capacity to do a five pound bag of sliced potatoes plus several trays of other produce at the same time. I love having so much capacity.
What a great product! We have owned several dehydrators over the years, started with a Ronco and the last one was an American Harvest. The other ones were all round and all had one major flaw. The racks set right over the motor and eventually the drippings destroyed the heater. I have made jerky in this several times and appreciate this dehydrator every time I use it. The heater and motor set in the back on this one and there isn’t any way for anything to come in contact with them.
Hands down best dryer! Food dries evenly and it’s a piece of cake to clean and use! If you’re considering which size to buy, go bigger than you think. You’ll use every shelf. They’re easy to fill up. If you get the smaller one, you’ll kick yourself later. I’ve been so thankful to have purchased the larger Excalibur. I love it! My kids love the fruit roll ups and dried fruit I can make with it. I also dry tomatoes, herbs and jerky!
