This is Shutterfly’s marketing scheme. They call items “free” but actually charge you what they want to for the item by charging for the shipping. It’s a mind game for people so they think they are getting something for free, but they aren’t. Each person just has to decide if the cost of shipping for the item is worth it to them or something they consider a deal.

Thank you for always posting the Shutterfly deals. I live in a rural area and having pictures delivered right to my door without having to “drive in” anywhere works for me. I understand the item isn’t “free” like they advertise due to their shipping costs, but it comes out to nearly the same price point if I were to have to drive and get the item from Walmart, Sam’s Club, or CVS. I greatly appreciate it! Thanks for all that you do!
