Everyone can enjoy a show!

Did you know that AMC Theatres and Regal Cinemas both offer sensory friendly movie options?

These popular theaters want everyone to be able to enjoy the experience of watching a movie, especially those with sensory disorders, autism, or other special needs – even for anyone who doesn’t like dark rooms or loud noise.

AMC has partnered with the Autism Society to offer unique movie showings where they turn the lights up and turn the sound down – so you can get up, dance, walk, shout, or sing without hesitation! 💃🏼🕺

Their Sensory Friendly Film program is available on the second and fourth Saturday of the month (featuring family-friendly shows), as well as Tuesday evenings for mature audiences. Be sure to check your local AMC theater listings for specific showtimes, and contact your specific AMC theatre for ticket pricing.

Similarly, Regal Cinemas offers a My Way Matinee program where guests can also enjoy a movie with the lights turned up and the volume turned down, and are free to express themselves by singing, crying, dancing, walking around, talking, or shouting while enjoying Hollywood’s latest films.

All Regal screenings for the sensory friendly movies will begin at 10:30 am on the second and fourth Saturday of the month at participating theaters. And the best part? Tickets cost just $6.50 each (may vary by location)!

If you don’t live near an AMC or Regal theater, be sure to contact your local theater as they may offer sensory friendly movie options as well.

So proud of anyone joining in on this. I have an autistic grandson and he does not like the dark or loud noise’s. Thanks for being inclusive.
