Teachers love these! Best pencils out there.

These do work better. Far fewer broken points and sharpen better. Last longer. They are a teacher’s favorite. 🙂 It’s like generic ice cream. I’ll still eat it, but if Ben and Jerry is on sale… well, then.

Love these pencils! They are the only kind that my 7 year old will use.

Good to buy these to replenish for your child’s teacher at this point in the school year!

What is wrong with other pencils? Its not like this is the only pencil that will work. I have not known any others to be poorly made. Some people act like others are not good.

IMO Ticonderoga makes the best pencils. The lead is nice and dark on all paper. Many other “leads” are grey and do not grip onto paper that is too smooth, or cheap paper like most of today’s school notebooks are. The wood is real wood, and not plasticized wood pulp. They sharpen beautifully to a long sharp point without breaking. The wood around the point is smooth and not jagged. The erasers are not crumbly or hard, and fully erase the pencil. The metal piece holding the eraser to the pencil does not get bent out of shape (unless you bite it lol) and does not loosen the eraser.

There is a huge difference between pencils, just as there are with good pens. If these are not for you, that’s fine. But this is a great price for Ticonderoga in any case.

**As an aside, if you’ve ever watched The Big Bang Theory, most of the stuff on the set is the best quality, and much of it American-made. All-Clad cookware, Fiesta dishes, Le Creuset cookware (french)…………and Ticonderoga pencils. The idea was that these characters are scientists, and as such they will have researched just about everything they buy, looking for the best quality. this was something I noticed and got a kick out of it, lol

Are you a teacher? LOL. Lovely review on the pencils.

agree with all. when my daughter went to private school, i was at first highly annoyed that these were required, but once i volunteered in classrooms, helped kids sharpen lesser quality pencils, i saw the quality in these
