Check out what Hip2Save readers say about these nuggets…

We recently discovered the Southern Style Chicken bites! They’re a Chick-fil-A copycat with a bit more pickle flavor, but my kiddos love them!

I second the chicken bites, they’re delicious!

My kids love these as well, and I would have to agree about the extra pickle favor.

They’re back?!?!?! We got them a few times last year and LOVED them. I’ve been putting off renewing our membership, but those chicken bites are so good!

    These are awesome

    • Shell0216

I purchased these and yes they do taste like Chik fil a nuggets. All you need are the waffle fries.

      • Sarah

I think the taste on these are way stronger than Chick-fil-A. My kids love Chick-fil-A but hated this one.

  2. Andrea

These would be perfect if they cut the dill pickle flavor by at least 50%. It’s kind of overwhelming.

    • Nancy

I definitely agree that the pickle flavor is a bit much but my teenagers love them.

    • Kathy

I agree that they have a stronger pickle taste and prefer it if it weren’t that strong. Also would have to try them or bake them longer and/or at a higher temperature to get more crunch.

    • Lacey

Definitely agree! I had to return mine after purchasing them when they first came out. I just couldn’t get past the strong dill flavor.

    • Sarah

Agree! My kids hate these one.

  3. Ang

Personally not my favorite. Sort of similar in taste but not nearly good enough. My kids wouldn’t touch them.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! Sorry to hear that, Ang! Thanks for the honest comment! We haven’t tried them yet!

    • Sarah

      Mine too!

  4. becky

Ick! Gross gross gross! None of us between myself, husband, or 5 children, liked these. I didn’t realize they were going for a chick-fil-a taste here……its so extremely like pickles (and I like pickles) that its nauseating. I know chick-fil-a soaks their chicken in pickle juice as part of their marinating process, but these are NOT the same. Yucky!

  5. brindhaG

Will look out for these! Thanks…

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome! Hope you enjoy them!

  6. Kristen

Our family was 5/5 didn’t like them the pickle taste is just way too much and we tossed the rest of the bag

  7. Ger

My kiddos & their friends loved these, especially when I make the copy cat Polynesian sauce to dip them in! 😋😋😋

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

YUM! Glad to hear it! Thanks for sharing, Ger!

    • Brenda

Can u give ingredients for copycat sauce pls? It’s my fave. Thx!

  8. lilchristy

We love these; my aunt who has my cousin’s kids over ALOT is a big fan and told me about them.

  9. Krisp

I wish they had a filet version w no breading.

  10. Sarah

I am going to be really honest. I went and bought these with so much excitement and they tasted like chicken dipped in pickle juice. I wanted to love these so much, but we just couldn’t.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! Sorry to hear that, Sarah! Thanks for sharing your experience!

  11. Amy L.

These are great to pop into a Sister Schubert roll to feed a house for breakfast (chicken minis!). Also, grab the Walmart version of the CFA sauce to go with them. YUM!!

    • J.H.509

We love sister Shubert’s sausage rolls. They’re like pigs in a blanket. Can’t wait to pick up a bag and try them like your suggestion. 🙂

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

What a neat idea! Thanks for the suggestion!

  12. April Rose

We are another family that wanted to love these. BUT NOPE! They are so nasty with the pickle flavor that we could not eat them. We love dill pickles, but it was so strong on the chicken. Be warned!

  13. elizabeth

Everyone says these taste like Chick Fila but me. They taste like pickles! I love pickles but not pickle flavored chicken.

  14. Julie

I love ChickfilA but not pickles. These taste too much like pickles and I didn’t like them.

  15. Tess

Unfortunately, these have a very strong dill favor. I don’t think they taste like Chick-fil-A.
I’m from Atlanta and love Chick-fil-A, these aren’t a copycat version.

  16. Kathy

Our family loves these and we don’t live near a Chick Fil A, so we grab a bag every time we are at Sam’s! Highly recommend these!

  17. S

I’m a bit on the fence about trying these after reading the comments about the strong pickle flavor. Maybe if they go even cheaper might buy them.

    • Lisa

I love chicken and love chicken nuggets… these were beyond disgusting. My hubby who can normally stomach anything did not like these We are returning what is left.

  18. reclemen

Thanks for posting. My son is allergic to dairy and therefore cannot have the original Chick-fil-A nuggets or sandwich. These appear to be dairy free! Hope my store carries them.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh perfect! You’re so welcome! Hope you find them in your store!

  19. Crystal

I love these bites!!!! I don’t have a Sams Club membership but my coworker does😊 I can’t wait to get another bag 😋

  20. Holly

Nope, we didn’t like them either. It wasn’t the pickle taste, but the large amount of gristle in most of the pieces. Yuck.

  21. Sarah

I was very excited to try these with my kids and to my dismay it tasted awful! The taste is so strong that my kids have to spit it out.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh bummer! SO sorry to hear that, Sarah!

  22. Brit

They taste good. I’ll only eat them with the Polynesian sauce though. If I could only buy Polynesian sauce from the store.

  23. momof2

Does anyone have the nutritional info on these?

  24. KathyV

I have tried these and like so many of the other comments mention, you can definitely taste the pickle juice. I still think they are tasty and similar to Chick-Fil A. They do have a 100% Guarantee so if you are on the fence, I’d suggest trying them and returning if you really don’t like them. Has anyone tried the Member’s Mark Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Strips? I’m wondering how those would taste?

  25. Jen

Sorry. Tried these months ago and they do NOT taste like CFA. Lol!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! Thanks for the honest comment, Jen!

  26. DLBP

What temp and how long do you cook them for in the air fryer?

  27. Jennifer e Lancaster

In order for these to copy Chick fil a , you must fry them. When fried, some of the strong pickle taste goes away, and they are amazing. My kids believed me when I told them I bought a Chick fil a meal kit. If you bake them, they don’t crunch and it is a lot of pickle flavor. Fried is best.

  28. Jo

While they are yummy (and our son always asks for some when he’s home for a visit), they don’t taste “just like Chick-Fil-A” to us. It’s a nice meal option to have ready in the freezer, though, and we also like to rough-chop them to put on top of salads. We just bought a bag last night! But I think that equating the taste to the restaurant’s nuggets is setting consumers up for disappointment. Similar, yes, and a nice item on hand when you’re craving them on a Sunday!

  29. MOM

Too strong of a pickle taste–I did not read this until today! I will not purchase again. 🙁

  30. Shari

I’m really confused I bought these today and I think they’re delicious I don’t find anything pickley about them….
I wonder if some batches are just stronger
