Hi Linda! I have checked with customer service, however I did get conflicting answers on that. Here is what I did find in the details –
“Rewards are earned on the final price paid at checkout for an item or service, excluding tax and delivery fees, after all discounts are applied and after deducting the value of any free gifts with purchase and the value of any reward and/or merchandise certificates/cards applied to that purchase.”

Here’s my personal experience from last month : I bought an OfficeMax e-gift card from Giant Eagle (grocery store app) to get their fuelperks and used it to pay for the OfficeMax batteries. A few days later, I received the Officemax rewards in my account! They expire on 7/31.
