They have to be used by December 20th and we’re planning on going in January. Is there likely to be another similar deal as it gets closer?

We are planning to take kids to Anaheim in end of the july. I am looking for tickets for Disneyland or universal studio. Any suggestions which one is better for kids & best way to get discounted tickets. Are there any other places which kids can enjoy?
Maybe look at knots berry farm. Haven’t been since I was a kid but they’re now owned by cedar faire. Snoopy themed amusement parks. They used to give military/veterans + family a free day.
disney discounts really don’t exist and places that say they have discounted tickets are typically a sham. i book through costco because i feel like it’s safe, i get a relatively good deal and costco extras like a giftcard and a lanyard and special trading pin per guest

Jiya- we live in Orlando and have both. I would suggest making your decision on what movies you prefer. I went to Universal and did both parks by 3 pm. I don’t really like any of the movies that the rides were based off so it was easy for me to pass it up and not mind. I’m a Disney person and love their movies so I love going on their rides and still love seeing the characters. It’s a personal choice.
Florida resident (assuming parks in California are similar) having had passes at various ages and stages… although there are fun things to do at all the parks for all age groups I would generally recommend Universal for older kids and DIsney for younger ones. I’m basing that off theming, ride intensity and ride scariness. Universal – Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, Marvel superheros, storms/special effects, The Mummy, the Simpsons. Not only are those shows/movies that most kids under 8yo haven’t heard of, the rides themselves are more intense – roller coasters, some dark rides with mummies, dinosaurs and villians popping out, simulations of earthquakes and tornadoes.
Disney focuses on characters from the animated movies and Disney Junior. The roller costers aren’t as fast or intense and the themes lend themselves to less scary, we’re-abour-to-be-attacked moments. I realize that’s a broadsweeping over generalization – just intended to give you a starting place.

I’m trying to figure this out, never been to Disney land or Disney anything but now my LO is asking to go and so now scouring discount offers, but if discount pricing sites are a scam, can anyone say what is the average price for a 1 day pass for a child and adult? I’m finding it’s around $100-$200. Then there’s a 1 day hopper fare? And so on and so on..It’s all so confusing frankly if you’re not experienced in all this.
We felt the same way and ended up using Tabitha at Mousecation on Facebook. She was unbelievably wonderful and it made our Disney trip so easy. And all her help was free. Totally free. HTH!
