Target Deal Days Are Coming to Compete with Amazon Prime Day
Get ready for Target’s biggest sale of the summer!
You may have heard that Amazon Prime Day is taking place on July 15th, 2019. To rival one of their biggest online shopping days of the year, Target announced that they’ll also be having their own online shopping event called Target Deal Days!
That’s right! On July 15th and 16th, Target will rival Amazon Prime Day Deals and have their biggest sale of the summer as part of their “Target Deal Days.”
The best part is that no membership is required! 🙌🏻
According to this Target press release, Target Deal Days will include:
- Items that rarely go on sale
- Exclusive home
- Apparel
- Toy brands
- Discounts on hundreds of thousands of items
- New deals each day
These savings will be on top of Target’s already low everyday prices!
Here’s what Mark Tritton, executive VP and chief merchandising officer of Target said:
“Last year’s Target.com One-Day Sale was one of our biggest days of the year for online sales. This year, we’re giving guests more discounts across even more of our assortment with two days to save on hundreds of thousands of items and offering the best options in retail for delivery and pick up on their terms, including same-day.”
Save even more during Target’s online shopping event!
Target’s REDcard is an easy way to save on every single Target purchase. It offers 5% off at the register on your entire bill, free shipping on every order at Target.com, and an extra 30 days to return items. Sounds good to me!
Did you see that Target is Raising Minimum Wage to $13 an Hour?
Interesting LOL

It is something to keep your eye on. Last year Amazon allowed one transaction of $5 off a $20 book purchase. Target matched that deal plus allowed unlimited transactions plus the 5 per cent off for red card holders. By far the better bargain.
FYI the Target App price jumps are still in play! I went to Target yesterday and experienced the in app price jump after entering target. I looked online for a nightlight, decided on one for $5.99. Decided to not purchase online for in store pick up or drive up since I had to return an item and figured I‘d pick up a couple groceries since I was there. Went to the aisle, saw the price of $7.99. Thought no big deal, I will just price match. Pull the item back up on the app and it was the same price as in store, $7.99! Did not end up purchasing it. Went home, looked up the item again, price back down to $5.99. Ordered for drive up, ready today. Beware!
The Target app will automatically adjust to the store price when you are shopping in stores. Turn your location services off or use a web browser to pull the item up on your phone to show the online price. Hope that helps!
Yes, Leanne! You are right! Thanks for the tip!
Happended to me too, now I know! Thanks
Wow, had no idea… thanks for sharing!
I love Target BUT my Target somehow blocks outside signals and forces you to use their wifi (I get 5 bars outside and 1 inside which doesn’t let my phone use internet data). They can track your location by where you’re connecting to Wi-Fi. I’m sure they also use it to see which things you searched while you’re in the store. It is kind of like the Facebook thing… I just wish they would be upfront about things with like this when they do them so that you can make the decision for yourself being fully informed as to what might be used.
Same as my Target. I have to use their wifi otherwise i have a very poor connection that takes forever to load.
Target is sneaky. NOT an attractive quality. IMO.
Yes and they are really pissing me off lately with crappy coupon acceptance and items ring up different from shelf price. They also are messing with returns and saying items are not on my Target CC when they are. Also I HATE the remodels.
You can also try adding the item to your “cart” online then choose shipping option. That should show you the online price.
Wow I had no idea. Thanks for sharing that! I’ll have to make sure to turn off my location services next time I go in. I frequently check online prices when in store.
Yesterday, I found 4 Casper memory foam queen size mattresses for 200 normally 600. So be on the lookout!
Wow! We will look for these, Aleshia!
Is this deal still available, Aleshia?
I am sorry, I should specify. I found 4 in stock on the end caps at target yesterday. Not online.
Same deal on Casper at my store in St. Louis, MO area.
Ebay is doing the same as well

Thanks for letting us know, Michelle!

Nintendo switch! Nintendo switch! Better than Black Friday! (Yes I’m chanting lol). Hopefully theres a deal cause I do enjoy being done shopping well before Christmas so I can simply enjoy the season.
We will keep you posted, Jess!
Oh! The target teacher 15% off coupon is good 7/13-7/30. Might make for some good deals! 😀
Wow! How do we get this? I’m a teacher and would love a coupon! 🙂
Seriously, how do you get this coupon? My husband is a teacher!

Thanks, Rachael! We are checking this out!
Here is where I signed up for the 15% off coupon. https://www.target.com/c/teacher-prep-event/-/N-8wm7e
Does anyone know if the target deal will include diapers? Have a LO due early November and would like to stock up on diapers at a good deal. Thanks in advance 🌺
This is the first time Target is doing this sale and we haven’t heard yet what is on sale. That would be great if diapers was included!
If you’re not picky about diaper brands, I can’t recommend the Parent’s Choice from Walmart highly enough. Their regular price is less than the best sale price of “brand name” diapers, and we never had any problem with them even on our sensitive-skinned kid until we hit toddler overnight wetting (then we just used “overnight” diapers for nighttime).
Love this! I am always looking for deals that are non Amazon related. Purchasing from Amazon just doesn’t make me feel good and I can’t support Jeff Bezos. Anyone who is more interested in spending his fortune on finding a second home for humans instead of trying to improve our current home, earth, I just can’t get behind.
I live in the Seattle area so there are other reasons I don’t care for Amazon but space exploration IMHO is cool. Human nature has always been to discover new areas. Beside don’t you know, space is the finial frontier?
If I buy something at Target the week prior, and it is cheaper July 15-16, will Target price match their sale price?
