  The zinus brand makes a head board adaptor piece ($10 on amazon) they worked great for us

   I have one of these and it’s been in use for almost 2 years. It’s still stable and is the ideal support base for a foam mattress (allowing it to breathe so it doesn’t get moldy). I love mine!
