We just had our HVAC replaced and they installed a Honeywell WiFi (8000 Pro not this one). Tech said they only use Honeywell and that Nest are terrible and they have replaced a lot of them.
What is troublesome with his nest? Ours is amazing.

I love my Honeywell wifi thermostat! We’ve had it two years and we’ve only had to reconnect it to the wifi twice and both were after long power outages. Our HVAC guy installed it with our new furnace. He loves them.

We have this model, and I’m very happy with it. The mid-range feature is a little laggy, but I think that’s a phone/wifi issue for us. I just dont use it. I can remotely change the temp manually if I want to.
