I cook a lot. I think these are worth more than what you pay. I use an old school whetstone for sharpening. Sometimes I slip and have rubbed some of the coatings off, but that’s okay. Yes, they do need sharpening frequently, but it just takes a second. I have had them for about a year and a half and am still using them. For the price, I think they are worth keeping around the house. I’d like to have a nice high-end knife also, but definitely still use these on a daily basis.
I have these and also bought a set for my son and they are terrible after a couple months. They got very dull, very quickly! The pairing knife is the only one that has kept any kind of sharpness.

These are amazing. My husband cooks all the time…. and loves them! We have had ours for 6-8 years! He uses both hands equally and our son is left handed and has no problem. They work for us. Family of 11. I bought another set today.
