You just can’t beat the sharpness and precision of a Japanese knife, period. I find Shun knives to be far superior to both Wusthof and Henckels. I bought the Shun Classic 8 in. Chef’s knife 7 years ago and it is still every bit as sharp as ever. This is an amazing deal since my knife was $140 by itself.
Best knives ever! I don’t have this particular set but 4 other Shun knives and they are definitely worth it. I’m very tempted to buy this set though, it’s amazing what a difference it makes to prep with them.
I have a larger set and have had them for probably 10 years. Best investment ever. If you can afford it, they truly are worth every penny. This is a fantastic price too.
Shun knives are the best (better than Henckels and Wusthof). Japanese knives are the sharpest…you can’t go wrong with them.
I own 2 of these knives and they are AMAZING. Even better, they have free sharpening for life. You have to send them to Oregon, but it’s awesome to have your knives professionally sharpened.
