Not all deals are for everyone. I love that there’s a variety. Some work for my family, some don’t. If it’s a deal that’s not for me (cross body bags for example, lol) I just move on. 🙂

This was in response to a comment left before me. They didn’t like the deal. LOL

Has anyone had one of these? What care do they require? I’ve never even heard of it!

I just looked them up. They look VERY finicky. They require humidity, not direct sun, but not too little, not too much water but not too little. If treated well, they WILL outgrow your house and will require an outdoor location. If you don’t live in a climate that is amicable, it will probably die. I really wanted it to be an easy plant! They look so pretty!

I bought one months ago and it’s officially dead. They are very picky plants.

I grow orchids, and my fiddle leaf died on me. It’s hard to make them happy…

My aunt has had one in Florida under the lanai and it’s doing great. I guess that’s partial sun?

      • JElliott

JenB I’d guess it’s the humidity?

I got a 5 foot one at Wal-Mart yesterday for $29. Great deal considering home depot sells a similar size for $99

About six months ago bought this plant from sams for 9.99 its the smaller one and I love it. Doesn’t require to much attention. I have mine right in front of a window with a shade. Since light still comes thru the shade its doing good. Once a week I open the shade so it can get more light. The only thing that happened is I went to Mexico for a month and It didn’t get watered and all the leaves on the bottom drooped and fell off. I continued to water it and the new leaves are beautiful. Just not sure whats going to happen when it becomes top heavy. Since all the bottom leaves fell off theres just al ittle thin stick on the bottom.

I’ve had mine for almost a month and so far I love it. I’m not very good at remembering to water it and it’s doing great with a once a week watering. It has sun in the mornings through a window and no sun in the evenings (besides inside light). I found a beautiful pot for $24.98 at Lowe’s!

My husband has a horticulture degree and has trouble growing these. We bought one about a month ago and it’s very picky and losing all it’s leaves.

I live in Central Florida and have had 2 fiddle leaf figs for 2 years now. I tried keeping one inside but I don’t think it was receiving adequate sunlight. I did a lot of research on how to care for them and so far mine are doing wonderful. I water them weekly with a medium sized mixing bowl full of water. They are on my front porch which receives sun and shade. I love them and am so proud of them, as I usually have a BLACK thumb.
