You were very kind however I am not seeing a reply….seems to me someone was just asking for free hand out. I do not remember seeing that name ever handing out free codes before. Us hipsters know who to give away codes freely as we pay it forward and not just blindly take. There is a difference between working together as a community and only caring about personal gain.

I am surprised at how many people on this site ask for things without offering anything in return. Do you really have NOTHING to trade? No coupons, coke codes, etc? I mean if you are spending money at whatever store you are seeking the coupon from, and if you are saving $5, $10, $15, etc, are you really unable to even offer $1 PayPal for someone’s time to communicate with you as they could be spending time with their familes? IDK I just hate seeing “nothing to trade” when you must at least have a $1 to show gratitude if you are already saving $$!
We all have different philosophies about this daily trading site…if I have something I am not going to use and someone else needs it, I will freely give it to them without expecting anything in return. The overwhelming majority of people immediately reply with a thanks!
For example, I get a lot of Bed Bath & Beyond with the occasional Hello Fresh, Wine Voucher and Wayfair coupons. Quite honestly, I get so many that these coupons would otherwise go in the trash. So I am more than happy to share what I am not using.

I agree with what you are saying. However, offering to share freely is different than asking for something with “nothing in return”
For me, when I get Shutterfly (freebie from promotion) I tend to give them to the first folks that ask for it.
Ex – $25 off total order or a free 8 x 11 etc.

I agree! If someone offers something no trade necessary that is different then those who repeatedly ask for free thing without offering anything. I also agree that asking for $2 Amazon for a free coupon is a rip off but at the same time I guess she is allowed to ask what she wants for it if someone wants to trade 🤷♀️
Amanda, in your experience have you had successful trades like 20% off coupon for Amazon? It might seem unfair to some but being new here sometimes I have no idea what is a fair trade or not. Would appreciate the feedback!
Hi Lizzy!! Welcome to the site!! I have personally traded a couple hundred times over my time on this site. For the BBB coupons, I actually have one $10 off $30 and two 20% off a single item. I have traded both types of coupons successfully (even $20 off $50 coupons when I have them). The most common to trade are the $ off, but the % off come in handy when you have multiple coupons and plan on purchasing multiple items because you can use one % off coupon per item in the same transaction in-store up to 5 coupons/items. Also, each coupon can be used twice, once in-store and once online with the online code. Almost everyone on this site trades for free coupons/gift cards that they receive through e-mails, mailers, phone company rewards or companies with point systems (coke, disney, etc). Most trades are under $10. Some are willing to trade higher values such as $20-$30 for similar value gift cards but it is more rare. Anything over that amount people typically recommend selling the gift card on Ebay or to a gift card exchange site due to the possibility of getting scammed. My advice would be to send your trade after you receive the trade from the other person to avoid being scammed unless it is from a veteran trader (you will eventually become familiar with the regulars). I guess let me put this in a scenario form to help elaborate what I am saying. Say you are a mechanic and have free time on your hands. So you offered to change a few random people’s oil in their car (not family, friends or regular customers) on your spare time if they purchased all of the necessary parts (oil, filter, etc). That is wonderful how you are offering your services because you had spare time and did not have to spend a dime. However, if you had 10 people a day come into your work and ask all of the employees there if they would perform a free oil change if they agreed to buy the parts without even offering a tip knowing that they had enough money to buy the parts. How would you feel about that? It is an absolutely unselfish thing to offer, however a complete selfish thing to ask without offering SOMETHING even so small.
