As the Coronavirus continues to spread, many restaurants have been forced to close their doors in an attempt to help “flatten the curve”. This has left many restaurant owners no other option but to furlough or fire their employees. 😞

Logan’s Roadhouse is the latest to shut its doors. The restaurant’s parent company, CraftWorks Holdings, filed for bankruptcy back in early March and had been working hard to keep to-go options available as the majority of their workers were furloughed. However, one of their lenders recently withdrew financing due to the unprecedented circumstances of COVID-19, and they have now chosen to close all 261 of their locations. Nearly all of their 18,000 furloughed employees have been terminated. 😥

Note that a few restaurant franchise locations remain open, but the 261 closed locations are shut down indefinitely, if not permanently.

I’ll be the first to ask: are gift cards worthless now??

    • kayti

I have over $100 in gift cards because I bought them on sale in January.

    • Christina

I called the number on my credit card statement for my gift cards and they just refunded me everything I had on them which was about $275

Logan’s was already struggling before this happened. Ours shut down several years ago. I’m not surprised that they couldn’t stay afloat. This will happen to many other chain and small businesses across the nation.

    • Charlotte Garber

I am in the same boat. If you find out anything, would you please share?

I’m concerned about giftcards as well. I’m going to reach out to them first and then to Sam’s club where I bought them. We ate their about 3x a month. I’m so sad they are gone.

    • boltsmom

Please post here what you find out – I have some I got from Sam’s too 🙁

      • Beth Terry

I called Sam’s this afternoon about it, and they are issuing a full refund.

        • llc

          Thanks. I will call monday.

    • Erica

If they wont honor the gift cards due to the bankruptcy, Sam’s club may offer a refund or compensation, if you still have a receipt or proof of purchase, it does not hurt to ask.

      • Kristine

If you bought at sam’s club wouldnt they have a record of your purchase?

I am in the same boat. If you find out anything, would you please share?

  5. Shirley

So sorry for those who lost their jobs. Praying for everyone.

    • Lisa

      Me too

  6. Liliana

Yes please respond to gift cards.

  7. Erica

Guys, if there are outstanding gift cards when there is a bankruptcy judgement they are no longer valid, unless the court approves it. But if the business is closed you cannot use it anyway. The same thing happened with Blockbuster.

    • rhiannas

I live in N.C. and we have locations still open.

      • Sparrowfly

If you click in the article for the hyperlink that says “Craftwork Holdings”, you’ll find your answer. “All Gift Cards to be Honored and All Loyalty Programs Remain in Effect”

        • Amy

That was posted earlier in March, before this update.

      • Thomas Brady

I have $75.00 worth of gift cards from Florida you can buy them from me for $50.00

  8. IB

FYI – They have to fire the employees so they can apply for unemployment.

    • Amanda

      Not true…..

      • IB

You have either be fired or laid off. If you quit or just leave, you don’t qualify.

        • Amanda

Exactly. Furloughed = laid off. No one has to be fired to get unemployment.

For those of us in NC that still have Logans nearby that are open. If these cards are of no value to you, if you’re willing to work offer them at a great price I’m sure that some would purchase them. Collin, I’m not sure if this is okay to post this or not. But if so, if anyone has a card, you are welcome to email me the amount and how much you want for it and we can go through PayPal if this is approved by Collin and or staff kimberlygriffin06@yahoo.com

    • Nicole

I bought mine from Sam’s as a gift for my mom in Mississippi. Id she can’t use them I’ll gladly sell them to you. I’d rather get something for them than have them go to waste.

      • llc

According to another poster. Sam’s is issuing refunds. I’m calling tomorrow.

    • Beth Terry

They are not open, at least in the Raleigh area.

  10. Jodi

To all those saying they still have locations open, the post says they are closing all locations so that is likely happening soon and no one will be able to use giftcards.

    • Amanda

This is what the posts says at the bottom “Note that a few restaurant franchise locations remain open, but the 261 closed locations are shut down indefinitely, if not permanently.”

  11. lenin1991

Note the 261 locations isn’t only Logan’s, it includes CraftWorks other restaurants too: Gordon Biersch, Rock Bottom, Old Chicago, and a few other brands

  12. Raymond Doll
