Disney resort Hotels

Your stay will be a bit different…

The Disney Parks Blog assures that enhanced safety protocols will be in place at these hotels. All cast members and guests 2 years of age and older will be required to wear appropriate face coverings in common areas of resort hotels and at theme parks. Cashless transactions are recommended, and cleaning and disinfection procedures will be increased in high-traffic areas.

Some services will also be unavailable, such as dressing rooms, in-room celebrations, and special classes and programs—including culinary, cultural, and animal programs.

These safety policies and precautions will be under continuous review and are subject to change as guidance changes from health and government authorities.

They are all deluxe hotels. Very expensive!!

    • Suzanne

They are also all Disney Vacation Club hotels.

I wouldn’t dare spend all that money to go somewhere like that and not be able to enjoy all the amenities. Just doesn’t sound fun to me. But to each his own.

Agreed, but there’s a lot of Disney cultists out there absolutely desperate to get back on Disney property no matter how restrictive or diminished the experience. I don’t get it, and I say this as a pass holder that lives in central Fl 🤷‍♀️

I agree! My family just recently canceled our trip to Disney that was planned for August. With all the restrictions, it just doesn’t make sense to spend all that money and not get the full Disney experience.

Nothing has changed, if anything it’s getting worse. This is a Pandemic and COVID-19 cases are rising by over 1,000 daily in Florida! Just not worth it. *Please* keep social distancing, stay home if you can, if you go out please wear your masks. The parks are very limited capacity. You may not even get into the park even if you have a reservation using their new system. No more park-hopping either! Restaurants/buffets/parades/ etc. will be limited or non-existent. Personally, I can and will wait until there is a serum/vaccine/cure. It’s not worth spending all that money for a extremely limited experience. Too many restrictions! Too much of a risk to your health and others. Even if you get a “mild” case from going to the theme parks – you could still spread the disease to someone with a weak immune system putting them at severe risk of death.

If we pay to stay at one of these hotels, we typically do so with the expectation of just staying at the hotel and enjoying the pool area. We wouldn’t pay for the more expensive hotels if we were going to be going to the parks all day. As a Florida resident, I wouldn’t really have the desire to go to the parks right now anyways, masks or not, because of the heat. I say to each their own and hopefully everyone is able to stay safe.

NO PARADES, NO CHARACTER EXPERIENCES, NO SHOWS, NO FIREWORKS!!! MADE TO WEAR A HOT MASK IN THE HUMID THICK WEATHER!! NO WAY!! Not for us! We will wait until things get much better! 100% NOT WORTH IT!!!!!! 😳😡😠

We just went to Disney Springs this morning. It was so hot with our masks on. I cannot imagine spending all day in one at the theme parks. It was overcast, and still felt like it was 1,000 degrees. For reference I am a native Floridian, very used to the Florida heat.

Fellow Floridian – spent four days at Universal this week. Would recommend leaving the “cute” themed cotton masks at home and going for the single-use paper masks. Please, please if you are going, MANAGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS and remember that the staff have been through all the things you have and they have had very little time to completely re-learn their jobs. Kindness goes a long way and the staff are NOT public health experts or decision-makers (neither are most of us), just following the rules set forth by Universal and Disney and Legoland, etc. Also, I know many of us take treats for TeamMembers and hotel staff, they cannot accept anything from guests right now. HTH❤️
