I recently bought an Apple Watch 5 and wondered if anyone recommended a good cover or tempered glass brand? I’m afraid it’s going to get scratched 🙁
I have worn my Series 1 daily for three years now without a case and I haven’t gotten scratches. I’m not gentle on it either, I just don’t think they scratch easily.
Agree with this. Take a lot for it to scratch.
I have one from Amazon it’s a bumper and tempered glass screen protector all in one it’s by ZXK CO, it has a matte finish and just snaps on. I have tried several and that is the best one so far.
I disagree with anyone saying not to get a cover. My watch face shattered!
I cracked my Apple Watch after 2.5 years. I just ordered the 5, and also ordered a case on amazon.
I found a flat tempered glass one on ebay. Doesn’t go quite to the edge because of the curved screen but it stays in place, unlike the Zagg one I tried which just slid right off. You can see it on the screen around the edges but it’s subtle and doesn’t bother me at all. Very happy with it.
Get a bumper. I’ve tried to so many clear covers and as a nurse they all come off

It’s what’s better for your needs. Did you want to have the option to add an Apple Watch cellular plan to your phone plan, so you’ll be able to use your watch without your phone nearby? Or are you okay with not having the plan and saving a few dollars every month?
I agree. Depends on your needs. The biggest upgrade to the 5 is fall detection.
I absolutely love the cellular, its so convenient, I can do housework and talk hands free, talk in the car, 9 times out of 10 my phone is somewhere in my house,car,purse and I cannot find it lol. I am not sure what upgrades the 5 has, but I would always go with cellular.
You can do those things without the cellular model as long as your phone is nearby. The cellular version kicks in if you forget to take your phone with you.

Will a new Apple Watch be released soon? I’m wondering if it’s worth waiting to see if the 5’s get marked down further or if this is a good time to buy. I have a 3 with cellular that I don’t currently use/need. Thinking of giving it to my daughter for her 13th Bday and activating cellular on it. Not ready to give her a phone yet. Then I’d upgrade to the 5 w/o cellular.
I’ve had 6 watches My last one scratched. I now have a cover. I did the liquid glass.
I’ve had the 3, 4 and 5. Ive loved each upgrade. I couldn’t imagine not having cellular on it.

I use my watch to tell time. I do not have to worry about it getting wet or scratched.

You don’t have to worry about it getting wet. I have a 3 and swim with it daily with no problems. I have never watched a video on mine, I use it to track my steps, monitor all of my exercise and any other activity I do daily. It helps hold me accountable.
The watch is great for fitness (tracking steps, heart rate, exercise, activities, etc), as well as for taking phone calls, text messages, remote control for music playing through the phone, etc. It’s more than just a time piece.
