I found coupons for some of the other lock and lock size containers also making for some other good deals. Thanks Hip2Save!

Awesome! Thank you so much for letting us know, SharonG!

Nice! I’ve never seen this size with the long lid before. Lock n locks are usually airtight so I started using them a lot when I had an outbreak of pantry moths! Pantry moths can get into boxes and plastic bags, but anything I put into lock & locks were saved.

There were some comments about this making bread mold faster. If you live in a humid climate, like I do, that seal may trap too much moisture. Just something to consider.

    • Rebecca

Yes that’s what I’m worried about.

    • mrsemilysutton

I bought mine a year ago when it was on sale. I live in the humid “south” and bake my own bread. I’ve never had a mold issue using this container and my bread doesn’t even have the store bought/manufacturer preservatives to keep it shelf fresh. As long as the bread is cooled completely before storing, there shouldn’t be any problems. If anything, my bread dries out in this container if not consumed in time. If you can’t finish the bread before it molds, then the freezer is a better option. 🙂

Thanks!! Gonna give it a try!

That’s what I was afraid of. Not sure why a bread box would need to be leakproof, but that just made me think it probably traps moisture a little too well.

Even though I clipped the 4.50 coupon for the bread container, it will not give me the 4.50 off. It keeps charging me the full price.

    • kim6

Try using the back button a d starting over. That often happens to me when I click a coupon for subscribe and save

  8. Bobbie

Yay! Hip, you surely have ESP, because I have been wanting a bread box to go with the pantry storage set items I´ve bought to get my kitchen organized for the winter. Ya´ll are the best!

  9. deejay5

Price is now $18.99 & no coupon.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! Thanks for letting us know!

  10. Elle

Aw, man! I missed this one and could’ve used it – I make my bread at home but never have anything great to put it in after it cools. As another commenter said, it’s showing as $18.99 and no more coupon 😭

  11. Sharon

I use mine in the freezer and it keep the bread from getting crushed or bent out of shape, would never occur to me to use it at room temp especially with how humid my house gets. With only two of us a loaf of bread can last a month or more.

    • mrswagley

      Love this idea!!
