This is so nice that it is free to try but my husband and I bought these when we had a good coupon to try it and this brand was horrible. I could not eat it even with all the fixings on a hamburger bun. It smelled like dog food when cooking and once it was cooked. We usually like alternative meat options even though we still eat meat and I would not recommend this one.

    • Dkp91576

Oooh I will offer this in a holiday basket to my vegan friend with some burger fixings! She is one of those “save the animal” activists so I would love to hear her opinion on the flavor lol. Maybe even she cannot say anything positive.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh darn! SO sorry to hear you didn’t care for these. Thanks a bunch for your honest comment.

    • Danielle

I agree. I have been a vegetarian for nearly 30 years and sadly these are repulsive. Unfortunate but maybe they will realize how bad they are and try again.

      • Casey

I’ve been veg for nearly 20 years and I actually don’t like any “fake meats.” I’d rather eat a black bean burger than something that looks like meat. However, my husband is a “flexitarian” and he enjoys the Impossible and Beyond Burgers as a way to lessen the amount of meat he eats.

        • Metronoma

Hey Casey, I just wanted to take a second to share what I found out at my local health food store- I picked up an informational pamphlet about GMO’s and apparently the brand Impossible is made with GMO ingredients.
          Who knew?
I don’t know whether or not you care about GMO’s in your/his diet but hey, the more you know, right?!? 🙂

    • Susan

Same here…tried them once with sale/coupon and couldn’t even eat the whole thing. We love Beyond Beef burgers but the Lightlife ones are not to our liking at all. However my teen daughter doesn’t mind them (they are not her favorite but she will eat them) so to each her own. Everybodys taste buds are different and at least with this coupon you can try them for free:) We do like other Lightlife products though like their hot dogs and bacon:)

      • Sarah K.

Good to know about the other products by this brand! That is true about taste buds being different and I agree trying for free is a good way to try it. I just wanted let people know that it was not as good as the impossible burger to me or other alternatives.

    • Evie

Sometimes a can of black beans mashed with potatos or rice and a few veggies is very good. Carmalized onions make anything delicious!
Morning Star is my emergency go to!
Beyond Meat has too many chemicals!

  11. atm

didn’t work on iPhone, nor safari on MacBook but it did though chrome my daughter and husband love these, thank you!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for letting us know how it worked best for you!

  12. KR

After trying the Impossible meat, I can not see myself going back to any other vegan food products, with the exception of the Quorn burgers and roast, perhaps.

  13. SavingsMama

Thanks for the heads up! I would probably not try these without this coupon deal. Now, I may be more open minded and enjoy them 😉

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re very welcome!

  14. CarrieN

    Thanks! It’s in the mail.

  15. Nee

    Thanks! 🙏🏻

For those who got the coupon but don’t care for the flavor, divide the package up into thirds. Add one third (thawed), some chopped onion, a few cloves of garlic, some chopped bell pepper, some chopped mushrooms, and a packet of taco seasoning (or your own), then add with a can of black beans and a small can of drained corn. Fill up taco shells or soft tortillas, and you’ve got super-cheap tacos. That third of a pack of the fake-meat just creates some texture for people who think they need hamburger in tacos — the flavor comes from the veggies and taco seasoning. You’ll get three skillets of taco filling out of one pack of this stuff if you do it this way.

      Great tip! Thank you!

Had to use Chrome on Desktop.

  18. Tina Bourgeoise

    Thank you,
Worked for me in Chrome also.

  19. Mendy

I am glad to the ones who got a coupon and are exited to try or actually like this product. I personally do not like them as I got them free after a Ibotta rebate, but like to hear others taking advantage of this deal. We all have different Tate’s so hopefully you enjoy!

    • Mendy

      *taste
