I don’t have luck In Store with Walgreens. I prefer to order online and pick up in store. That way I know all the coupons come off. Will you still get RR if you pick up in store. Thanks!!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

If you do store pick up (not ship to store), they give you items to you with a store receipt and your RR’s that print out.

I love posts like these that show the deals using only digital coupons. I am frugal, but not cutting coupons from the Sunday paper insert frugal. I hope to see more posts like these from Walgreens and CVS. Thanks Hip2save!

The digital coupons mirror what are published in the newspapers for the most part. Consider your savings on a buy one get one 50% off deal when you can double your savings by combining digitals and newspaper Don’t clip. Instead simply date each insert and keep in chronological order. When you see a great deal on Hip2Save use their coupon database or many others to see what date the insert is and clip the single coupon you need from the insert. I save hundreds of dollars yearly from newspaper coupons and spend minutes organizing and clipping. Use MyWalgreens cash to buy an issue or if you are lucky from a Dollar Tree that sells them. Ask friends and relatives that throw them away to give them to you. It isn’t even necessary to buy the newspaper.

Can you still get rewards when you have the items shipped?

The SHIP TO STORE (ships from warehouse to store) you get MyWalgreens cash/balance rewards plus the 25% off full priced items in the pickup email in store at the time you go in the store to pickup your item. There are no register rewards.

If you do a STORE PICKUP (30 minute deal) you get the MyWalgreens cash/balance rewards plus any register rewards that your order might qualify for.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Becky! You can earn and redeem cash on purchase quantity deals but not on threshold offers that require you to spend a certain amount. Hoping that helps!

Becky, on the “spend” $20 get back $5 deal here is what counts towards meeting that $20——dollars out of your own pocket plus manufacturer’s coupons and that’s it. Here’s what does not count towards meeting that dollar threshold——Coupons that come from Walgreens itself whether digital or paper, store wide discounts, and/paying with balance rewards, store discounts or Walgreens gift cards. Why? Because in Walgreens view they have given you these free dollars already and allowing customers to earn more free dollars by using free dollars is double dipping. You are exactly right in that a deal in which you “buy x number of widgets to earn x number of points” is a deal in which you can both earn and redeem. At checkout the balance rewards points calculated includes both manufacturers coupons and Walgreens coupons and doesn’t include the way you pay so it is only a “best possible” result not will happen. There are disclaimers if you check the fine print I love Hip2Save so much but I would suggest that you also follow some Walgreens specific couponing sites as well. Anyone can save at Walgreens but it can be a little tough at first. I’m hoping you enjoy Walgreens deals! I hope this helps a little.
