Godiva is Closing All 128 of its North American Locations
We’re sharing the latest store closing news!
Luxury chocolatier Godiva has announced that it will be closing all of its brick and mortar locations in North America by the end of March. This news comes less than two years after the company announced a massive expansion plan, which included opening over 2000 cafés worldwide. The Belgian chocolatier has yet to disclose how many employees will lose their jobs.
Godiva’s physical locations in the US relied heavily on mall traffic, which began dwindling even before the coronavirus pandemic. The company is planning to keep its stores open in Europe, the Middle East, and China. In the US, Godiva’s products will continue to be sold online and through Godiva’s grocery, club, and retail partnerships.
