Does anyone know what name brand toilet paper this is comparable to?

    • Nicole (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Beth! The closest comparison would probably be Quilted Northern.

      • Lunafalls

My mom’s neighbor gave her some of this when she was worried about running out. It is NOTHING like Quilted Northern. It falls to pieces when wet!

        • worksforme

It works like Norther Quilted for me as well and does NOT fall into pieces when wet. I don’t ever buy Scott or Angel Soft.

        • cathleen

I totally agree. I rips and shreds easily. I buy Sams Club brand. It it much thicker and softer.

    • Elaine

They changed their toilet paper after the pandemic. It now sucks.

      • Nicole

I’m glad you posted this… I had no idea they changed it! I used to like it a lot, but now I’m hesitant to buy that much if I won’t like it (if I can even find it in stock)

      • cswan29

        I agree…so bummed they changed it ☹️

  2. Nicole

They have only had Scott brand TP the past two times I’ve been in costco! Hope this means they’ll be getting some in stock…

  3. ida rabiner

It used to be 425 sheets

    • Margaux

      True!

  4. Maggie

I haven’t seen Kirkland TP in stock at Costco for a long time.

    • Jenn N

In SC they have had it a while. Even up on the higher shelving

    • Mary

My local Costco has had a surplus the past six months. So much that there’s two aisles full of Kirkland toilet paper and then random pallets through out the store. They were selling them for 14 a few months ago.

  5. Allison

I love the Sam’s Club TP in the purple pack. I think it’s supposed to be like Charmin Ultra Strong. It is insanely thick and like $20 for 45 good sized rolls. (We don’t have a Costco so 🤷🏻‍♀️)

    • Juma

I agree I like the Sam’s brand much better now that Costco changed their toilet paper.

    • Lo

I got a ton of clogs using Sam’s tp. I read in the reviews others had the same experience. I have kids so I had to switch to Scott’s but not the 1000 sheet version cuz that disintegrates upon impact Hahahha.

  6. Evie

I do not care what brand I use. I stocked up at Lidols when they gave out $10 off $30 coupons. This only lasted a month after they opened a new store.

    • Klp

It looks like Costco TP has more square feet total, even if it has less rolls. So based on that, this is a better deal. Not sure how the quality compares to Sams though.

      • Klp

I meant to respond to Allison.

  7. Laural

If you are looking for cheap paper check your Aldi. I found 4 large rolls for 50 cents. I was a little worried because it was made with royal honey (strange) but it was like normal tp.

  8. Amy

Agree with the comments that they’ve changed the TP. It’s all I used to buy, and have one more package to go through before I can find something else. The plys don’t stay together… they leave “dingleberries”… and lots of lint when you open the roll. No thanks!

  9. Monica

This tp sucked BEFORE the pandemic. Don’t buy it!

  10. Albert S.

I think the package was 48 rolls back then, so this price doesn’t seem so special.

    • Klp

It’s best to look at the amount of squarer since rolls can be different sizes.

  11. Summer

This is the ONLY brand of TP we will use. Love it better than anything we have tried.

  12. Crescent City Couponer

This TP’s quality went down the toilet during the pandemic. It’ll also clog your toilet. I IDK what it was like pre-pandemic, but[t] it’s horrible now. Anything you save now will be spent on a plumber later.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Oh bummer! Thanks for the warning on the toilet paper, Crescent City Couponer. ❤️
