Almost grabbed but then thought about a metal tin and chocolate….not a great idea for camping. Lol we normally keep the chocolate in the cooler so it won’t melt.
I believe it’s actually plastic but the problem that I heard was that the lid didn’t stay shut.
Hi- it’s actually plastic, not sure if that would help in terms of temp control. I’ve owned this for about 4 years and my teens made fun of me for buying it but I have used it a dozen times over the years. I often just leave it stocked in my pantry and ready for a fun event. I do find the clip tricky but can always get it to close. It’s definitely NOT a must have but it’s been fun and convenient.
I had bought one of these last year and mine did have the issue with latching shut, so I had to return it.
My son received one for Christmas and we have not had an issue with it latching. Packaging was a little deceiving though…we thought it contained the s’mores stuff as well so we were surprised when we opened and it was empty! Just FYI in case you look at it the same way we did! haha
Was looking at last year and always out of stock, grabbed one now, we have fire pit in backyard so will be easier to store in cupboard all together and just carry out when needed 🙂
