Has anyone had success getting 3 boxes of varying sizes (quart, gallon) and still getting the reduced price? The only way I can seem to get 3 boxes for $2.79 is when I buy 3 boxes of identical sizes. Would love to figure out how to buy 1 of 1 size and 2 of another while getting the lowest price. With this sale I may just end up buying 3 of each size.

Yes, I’ve tried before, and the only way to get the deal is to buy 3 of the same size. Still a great deal, and I really like the bags. I heard bad reviews of them, but I’ve had good luck with them. They seal fine.

These are just as good as ziploc brand!

Is this available in store too or only online order with in store pickup?

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

This is available in store! You’ll find the offer on page 7 of the store ad.

        Thank you.

I noticed I can mix and match in stores but not online. I have bought mixed sizes in stores- I’m in Illinois.

Can someone lay out the terms for getting a reward back for spend $20 and get $5 rewards? I had a pickup order which showed I was getting back $5 but I didn’t get it. The online chat person said it was because I had another coupon that made it go under $20. So why did it show I was getting the $5 if I wasn’t? Very frustrating!

The estimated rewards is based on everything being paid by you out of pocket and is only correct a small amount of the time. I know—sad, frustrating and difficult. I wish they just wouldn’t post it at all. In a deal such as “spend” x dollars get back x MyWalgreens cash there are only two things that count—OOP dollars and MANUFACTURERS coupons because those are reimbursed to Walgreens on the customers behalf. What does NOT count—Walgreens digital/monthly savings book coupons, discount/% off code amounts, Walgreens gift cards or paying with MyWalgreens rewards because those things come out of Walgreens pocket. Chances are you used a Walgreens coupon and that doesn’t count because Walgreens pays it not you. Once you get past this and just calculate it yourself things get much better. Go back into your “rewards activity”, press on the RFN number and look at the breakdown of your orders . The patterns become much clearer. I wish you the very best. Hip2Save has a great Walgreens tutorial on the site that will really help you.

Thank you both! I don’t want to have to analyze things this much every time I shop there! I think it’s false advertising to show your potential rewards and then not give them to you. The system should already know when you’re placing your order if you’ll get them or not. That being said, I do love their deals and wish it were easier to figure them out!

Yes I agree and understand the frustration. However I will say once you understand ( it is getting to that understanding that is so hard) that it is very easy to figure out. I never bother with the estimate just do my own.
The formula is this::OOP + manufacturer’s coupons ONLY = dollar threshold met
I suggest to look through the ad and find deals where the ad says something like “buy” two widgets and get x rewards. Those require no figuring out anything because you can use any kind of coupon, pay anyway you like, and still get the deal. There are two types of deals at WAGS. “Spend” dollar threshold or “buy” deals. The buy deals are just super easy and some people do only those. Hip2Save has a great article on this site that explains all the ins and outs of Walgreens. Wherever you coupon I hope it is always a positive experience.

This doesn’t work at all online for me, not even with choosing 3 of the same.
