Love the price and performance. I surf the web, listen to music, watch videos, write documents. I replaced my Windows tower unit with this and I’m so happy with it. Got an inexpensive Keyboard/ mouse (iclever) that has its own dongle. Samsung 32″ monitor, and external optical and SSD hub. My computer is now the size of a dictionary. Bluetooth has some glitches so I used the audio jack into a tiny amplifier and some Polk speakers.

I think this is the best Mac computer you can buy today. It’s the only M1 Mac with support for dual monitors and that’s what I’ve got hooked up: two 4K monitors. It came out of the box with Big Sur 11.0.0 (there have already been more updates since). I really appreciate that Apple didn’t axe the two USB-A ports so I can use my wired mouse and keyboard with it just fine. The only things that come in the box are the machine, paperwork and power cord. I think for $699 or under this is the one to buy. Runs whisper quiet even under benchmarks. If it fits your setup and your budget, buy it.
