Target is Adding New Store Pickup Features to Make Holiday Shopping Even Easier

If you aren’t already a huge fan of Target, their new pickup policies are sure to change that!
They recently announced that they’re making some big upgrades to their store pickup process, including improvements to Drive Up, Order Pickup, and Same-Day Delivery with Shipt to give guests the most versatile & flexible shopping experience yet.
Here’s what Target shoppers have to look forward to!
- More assigned drive-up spots: Prior to the busiest season of the year, Target has added over 18,000 designated drive-up spaces for curbside pickup.
- Easily add on forgotten items: You can now easily order more items and pick them up all at once after placing a Drive-Up or Pickup order in the Target app.
- Send in a shopping partner: Can’t make it to the store? If plans change, you can use the new ‘Shopping Partner’ feature in the Target app or on Target.com to send someone else to pick up your Drive-Up or Pickup order, such as a friend or family member.
- With Shipt, you have a bigger & more personalized store selection for same-day delivery: You can now enjoy seamless delivery for everything on your list with even more items including apparel and accessories for the whole family, premium ULTA Beauty products, electronics, toys, and now, even adult beverage items! You also have more options to personalize your delivery (due to more Target stores in the Shipt network!) and the ability to choose which store you shop at.
- Select backup items: Except for adult beverage items, you can designate a secondary, backup item option for food and beverage pickup on Target.com or in the Target app for added convenience.
As usual, your Drive-Up and Order Pickup options are totally free and contactless, and usually ready for you in just a couple of hours! Now, we just have all these added benefits to make our holiday shopping as smooth as possible. 🙌

Target
Shipping is free on orders of $35 or more. You may also be able to opt for free in-store pickup if items are in stock and available near you.
If you're a Target RedCard holder, you'll get an additional 5% off your order plus free shipping on any size order! However, exclusions do apply and orders for RedCard holders may require the $35+ shipping threshold.
Plus, you might be able to score $1 savings on your order by consolidating your shipping. On the app, just click the No-Rush Shipping option. Online, click the "Save $1 with Order Consolidation" option during checkout.

Yay! I love their drive up option! Haven’t stepped foot in target for over a year now because of it. I miss going in, but it also saves me time and money since I’m not browsing… haha!
I love the drive up option they are quick!!! faster then most of the stores.
Yes they are! No matter how large or small my order is, I’ve literally never waited longer than 60 seconds for them to have my order to my van.
i have spent so much more money with target than in years past because of the ease of their pickup!
And must mention, Target Representatives/Associates are Super helpful, kind and so unlike Walmart.

I’ve always just placed a second order if I forgot something. I’m wondering how the add-on option will work because sometimes they try to fix things and make them worse. lol
If they don’t have your item in stock, are you charged more if the backup substitution costs more? Walmart doesn’t charge up for substitutions but wondering if Target does for pick up orders.
