Happy Friday Reader Haul from Treasure Hunt Liquidators

One reader scored SUPER LOW prices at Treasure Hunt Liquidators.

This week’s Happy Friday reader, Kay, scored one amazing haul! She stumbled upon a popular liquidation store called Treasure Hunt Liquidators, and wow, the prices were super low! 🤩

If you’re not familiar with liquidation stores, they typically buy unsold goods from other companies and resell them to the public. Sometimes called bin or salvage stores, they are some of the best places to shop when you’re looking for a jaw-dropping deal!

Here’s Kay’s story!

“It was a great surprise to find that we have a Treasure Hunt Liquidators in Greensboro NC. We stumbled upon it while shopping at neighboring stores.”

For those of you who haven’t been to one, here’s how it works. The store is closed on Thursdays for restocking, what looks like, Amazon items that have been returned. Some are still in shipping boxes and original packaging. Some are still in unused new condition.

“The store then reopens on Fridays, where everything in the bins is $10, then over the days, anything left in the bins on Wednesdays is only $1. On Wednesdays the store wants as much as possible gone to make room for restock the next day. I went on a Wednesday last week and found the following deals for only $1 each: 4 toss pillow covers, a pack of 50 thank you cards, a boy’s dress shirt, measuring spoons, and stain remover.”

“I usually get thank you cards from Dollar Tree (8 for $1.25), but this deal was even better (50 cards for $1). The boy’s dress shirt is new-with-tag and retailed at The Children’s Place for $17.95, and I got it for $1. The pickings are slim, and it’s a lot of work to sift through all the stuff, but this loot was worth it. I have not seen any of these items at a better price anywhere else. I will go on a $2 Tuesday next. Can’t wait to go back! Even my kids are excited to shop there cause it’s so affordable.”

Way to go, Kay! 🙌  These are some amazing savings! Thank you so much for writing in to tell us about your haul. The Hip2Save team LOVES hearing about liquidation stores. Shopping there is such a great way to get more for your money!

Though I haven’t visited a Treasure Hunt Liquidators myself, I was very impressed by the selection I saw on their website and social media pages. Several of their customers posed with their hauls and so many of them scored fantastic prices on hot items like small appliances and footwear!

Your tip is sure to help other readers find a great deal near them!

Big Lots

Are you interested in shopping at a liquidation store like Kay?

We’d bet that you’ve heard of a few of them! Here are some of the big-name liquidation stores:

Chances are that you have some near you!

Many of our team members are huge fans of these bin and salvage stores. One of our favorites is Dirt Cheap and some of our readers love it too. Last year, one reader stocked up on 85 snack items for just $8.50 there! 🤯

We’re also pretty big fans of Big Lots they sell old Target merchandise for up to 70% off! It’s also a great place to find cute holiday decorations. Just check out some of the Halloween decor we saw at Big Lots last month. 🎃

Thanks again, Kay! 🥰

We appreciate you taking the time to write in and let us know about your latest haul. This was such a great reminder to take advantage of liquidation stores. ❤️ They are certainly worth browsing as you never know what kind of amazing deal you might find on high-quality items!

Dirt Cheap, here in the South, is owned by the same parent company. They have closeouts and returns at great prices.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing about a similar store near you to snag goodies on the cheap, Melinda! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’“

The Big Lot near me is terrible. I have gone in there a couple of times yet have only bought something 1 time. I am not sure if it’s just my particular store but nothing has a price on it. Some things have a price sign (that may or may not be missing) and the things on shelves have shelf stickers that SHOULD be there but are not. I asked about a price checker machine but no, was told I would need to bring it up to the register. Impossible to shop when a third or more of the store has absolutely no prices.

Such a bummer to hear about the trouble with pricing and tags at your Big Lots location, cindylouwhooo. ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ’“ Hoping there might be some other liquidation store options, like those mentioned near the bottom of the post, that might be more user-friendly for shopping at! ๐Ÿคž

  3. A.B.

I live outside of Nashville and have shopped Bargain Hunt for years! We absolutely love it! Last month I found a pair of $140 Kurt Geiger Kensington sandals for $20 and at the same time was able to stock up on large bags of gluten free pretzels for $2 each. Happy feet and belly! ๐Ÿค— I encourage people to look there, and be patient. You may have an amazing visit and find โ€œtreasure,โ€ or you could walk out with nothing, but for me itโ€™s always worth a pop in!

SWEET! Thanks for sharing the store near you where you like to shop A.B.! Sounds like you’ve been able to score some great deals! ๐Ÿ™Œ Great tip on being patient when looking for treasures in these stores! ๐Ÿ’ž
