A year or so ago we bought into the Ring ecosystem by installing a Ring alarm. We like Ring very much, but at the time we weren’t attracted to the smoke alarm options. That changed! We bought this package of smoke/CO alarms and are very happy. They hook up perfectly and easily with the Ring alarm and show up as distinct smoke and CO alarms. (each alarm shows up twice–once as smoke, once as CO in the Ring app). We have the Ring professional monitoring (only $10/mo!), and these alarms not only warn us locally but also send any alarm to the monitoring center if we aren’t home.

Overall the package is a great deal, especially since their cost is very competitive considering the dual monitoring. I highly recommend them if you have a Z-wave system.

Replaced very old units with these as part of smart-ifying my house. I picked these because of the Z-Wave smart home integration. They are connected to my Smart Things hub. So, when any of them are triggered, all smart light switches turn the lights on, and the phones get notifications that the alarm tripped. Nice additional peace of mind.
