   For the Tylenol Precise patch deal tell me if this will work:
   Buy 6 @ 5.99 each= $35.94
   Use 6 $5 off coupons= 5.94
   Get back a $10 Up= $4.06 money maker

   Also is it me or the math of the Pepsi 2 liters would be 4/$4.98 or $1.25 each?

  Your Tylenol Precise scenario looks great except keep in mind that Rite Aid only allows 4 identical coupons per transaction so you’ll need to break it into 2 transactions.

  And thanks for catching my math error on the Pepsi deal…I have since corrected that! 😀

   If you want some variety on the Revlon deal, there was a $2 August VV Q on Revlon nail enamel. I love Revlon since they do not test on animals (plus they make good quality cosmetics). 🙂 The nail enamel is 4.99 at my RA.

   There’s also a Single Check Rebate on the Revlon deal! 🙂

   At my RA they would not give me the coupon book without getting the flu shot. I even pointed out the ad’s wording about no purchase required but that fell on deaf ears. Oh well, I needed the shot anyway–but–MAN!–I hate needles!

  Not sure about that one. I’ve never got a flu shot before–never really have got sick. I’ve always–thank goodness–been relatively healthy. However, this year I have my 9 mo granddaughter to take care of and another one on the way from my son so I’m trying to be proactive this year. I really don’t know info about batches or any of that stuff.

  I don’t think its wise to get the flu shot so early. I have a feeling the longer the store advirtizes the more they will sell. Remember the flu shot does not last a long time, a few months, thats why you have to get one every year. If you get it too soon, you might run low on your immunity before flu season is over. If you wait too long you might get the flu before you get the shot.

  My daughter’s pediatrician is giving them out already, so I figure it is fine. He told me that they have the flu shot already for this year, and the earlier you get it, the less chance you have of catching the flu.
  The reason why you have to get it every year is because every year the flu virus is a little bit different than the previous year, so since it is a different virus than last year, last years shot will not make you immune to this years shot. It doesn’t just work for a few months- it works as long as that specific virus is “going around”.

  Actually there are THOUSANDS of strains of the flu, they make the vaccine up with the ones they deem to be “most likley and highest risk” they range from 6-23 various ones per year. So it MIGHT help against those as well as a few which may be very similar according to your immune system. Since they use different ones each year, it is new info to your body each year. It is also possible to GET the flu from the shot though so be cautious, you can also slough the viruses for several weeks following, so be extra aware of handwashing, and so on.

  I don’t know which $1.50/2 coupon you have but I used one today that specifically excluded first aid kits and I think it said the product had to cost more than $1 or something like that so be sure and double check your coupon.

    I have a question about Rite Aid shopping before I go and try it. Is the key to it separating transactions and purchasing all of your up rewards in the first transaction so that you can turn around and use them on the following transaction?

  I’m not an expert with Rite-aid, but to spend the least out of pocket, I will do one transaction, and get my up reward for that item, then use that up reward towards my next purchase and so on. I just keep rolling the rewards on my next purchase. It does take a little longer this way. You could get all your up rewards in one transaction and then save them for next week. You’ll just spend more OOP. I find R/A a little high priced so I try to use my rewards towards items that generate more up rewards. Hope that helps!

    I bought Renewal triple sized cotton balls a couple of weeks ago and inside they had $1 off Rite Aid Renewal 3 or 5 Blade Razor coupons making them only $.99, so you might want to check your cotton ball bags if you’ve bought any recently.

    I live in the Charlotte, NC area and our Smartsource did not offer the Tylenol Precise coupon. It was one of the items I was most looking forward to. It always seems our papers miss out on the higher dollar Q’s every week. Oh well….I’ll just have to make do with what I do have. Thanks Collin for your hard work and dedication to helping all of us!

  Rite Aid does not accept anyting expired. Sorry about your expired +Ups. I hate when that happens. I lost like $13 of rewards in one week (all stores combined). I was really bummed.

  You can ask them if they will reduce it, but my experience has been that you need to add something to your transaction because the register beeps, and once the UP has been scanned, you can’t use it again and have to call Customer Service to have it replaced.

  They cannot reduce it, the purchase has to be greater than the amt of the UP, you can throw in a chocolate covered Cherry for under 40cents.

    At my store, all of the Fall Decor is 50% off. I got some really cute scarecrows for my lawn for 4.99 each (the ones this size were 8.94 at my Walmart, and I was going to buy them anyway so I saved a few dollars each and I was happy). Also, I bought the No nonsense single pairs of socks that are 1.00 each & while I got two pairs for free ($1 for the first pair, 0.50 for the second), I did not get the $2 up to print out so I guess those must not be included. I can’t complain though, those are too small for me so I’m just gonna use those as stocking stuffers for my niece.
