    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh cool! Thanks for your review!

  2. Lisa

Has anyone noticed Halloween print/logo (not pumpkin scented ha) litter to get discounted after Halloween?

  3. Elaine

Heads up, be careful about the ones with added scent such as glade. My cat developed hot spots after having an allergic reaction to that litter. He scratched like crazy. He’s never had a problem with any other litter.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh no! 🙁 Sorry to hear the litter with glade bothered his skin. Thanks for the warning!

  4. Carolin

Thank you for posting this deal. I have 5 cats. I use the Tidy Cats 24/7 and it works well. My Target had $2 peelies on the Tidy Cat litter 🙂

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Good to know it has worked well for your cats Carolin! You’re so welcome!

  5. Pat Goff

I have a coupon for one free so I can use it too. Score.

    • Anna

My target adjusts down a free coupon when it’s combined with a gift card promotion. So I end up paying a few dollars for the free item with coupon, rather than get the full price of the free item deducted. So it’s never a score for me unless I use the coupon separate. May just be my target though

    • ds

Pat where did you get the free coupon?

  6. Ray Tetreault

The 10/29 Red Plum has a $2/1 coupon for “Tidy Cats brand Lightweight Cat Litter, any size, any variety.” … Would this sale apply to that coupon? … I don’t think that I have seen a product that specifically reads “Lightweight” … Any input??? This deal appears to be even better than the historic Black Friday deal at PetsMart.

    • Elaine

Don’t know if the lightweight comes in this size. I’ve only seen it in the jugs. But if so, it would work for this deal. I will warn you though, the lightweight litter tracks everywhere! We had to sweep our floors multiple times a day when we were using it.

Is this in stores only? Our nearest Target is over an hour away 🙁

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yes, this is an in store deal.

Anyone know if you could get two 35lb cat litters and a 16 lb purina one cat food and use the free $5 giftcard for litter coupon AND free $5 giftcard for cat food coupon found on the same red plum page AND get the $10 giftcard for buying 3 items? There’s also a $3.00 off purina one cat food coupon on there too that I’d be interested in being able to use. Thanks!

    • Joanna

Alyssa, you can stack all of those coupons, yes, but the 16-lb bag of cat food doesn’t get you to the $20 threshold for the “$5GCwyb$20” in cat food coupon. So to use both of the “$5GBwyb$20” coupons in one transaction, you’d need two tubs of litter and two bags of cat food. OR your third bag of cat food would need to be the 22-lb bag which is also on sale and the price is over $20.

What I did is purchase two 16-lb bags of Cat Chow and one 7-lb bag of Purina One. I used one $5GBwyb$20 cat food coupon, one $3 Purina One coupon and two $2.05 Cat Chow coupons. I also activated the 10% off Cat Chow cartwheel. I got back a $5 GC from the scanned coupon and a $10 GC from the current weekly promo. I then did a 2nd transaction and purchased 2 tubs of Tidy Cat and a 2nd bag of Purina One. I used a 2nd $3 Purina One coupon and one of the $5GCwyb$20 litter coupons. I also activated the 10% off Tidy Cats litter cartwheel. I paid for this order with the $15 GC from the prior order, and I got an additional set of $15 GCs from the 2nd purchase.

Some are finding peelies on the cat litter. My store didn’t have those, but that would make this scenario an even better deal. Hope that helps answer your question!

I stopped buying cat litter about 2 months ago since some made out of clay and my cats inhaled the dust thru their noses. I went to Tractor Supply store and bought pine pellet for horse stall ($6/40lbs) and will never go back to other cat litter. They are cheap and environmentally friendly. You can scoop up the feces and flush them in the toilet. When pellets get wet they turn into saw dust and I replace the box when 90-95% of the pellets have broken down, no messy clump at the bottom or on the side of the little box to clean. I use big storage container as their litter box so very minimal tracking for me to clean up and I put a little step stool next to it for them to get into the box. At first they didn’t like the pellet feeling under their paws so I added a small amount of regular cat litter on top of the pellets, within a few hours they got use to it, now just pine pellet. As matter of fact, I just threw away the rest of my old cat litter yesterday. Feline pine cost so much more, maybe smaller pellets.

I picked up 3 pails, used three $2 peelies found on the pails themselves, used cartwheel and a giftcard I had from a previous deal. so in the end I paid $25 with tax and got a $10 gc back! score! that’s 105 lbs of litter for about $15! thanks hip2save!

Was the RedPlum coupon regional? I can’t seem to find it

  12. CJ

Quite often those coupons are regional. I know this because I used to get them in my RP insert and I haven’t in at least a year now.
