This chair is AWESOME! It sits high (great for tall folks – 6’2″ here) and for those of us who are fluffier than others, there is NO concern for your chair failing while on it especially when you have lab snuggling munchkins.
If you gave this chair less than a five-star review because it’s too big, you obviously don’t get the reference. (King Kong was a giant, albeit fictitious ape that was taller than buildings and destroyed entire cities.). I, on the other hand, love this chair because it is big and heavy duty.
I weigh 230 lb and when I plop down by the fire at the end of a long day of hiking, or fishing, or hunting, I want the confidence to know my chair is not going to buckle and send me a$#-over-tea-kettle. If you’re looking for a small chair you can take backpacking, look elsewhere. Or better yet, sit on the ground and carry some more water. This is the best camping chair I’ve ever owned.
Just ordered our second one of these chairs. If you are a larger person, this is your camp chair! Nice wide seat and really great construction. Holds our 350 lb family member with ease. Carry sac and easy setup. Not too heavy to pack around. APlus!
