I was skeptical, but this really works. I bought this after about a pound of brown sugar went hard in my glass storage container. I soaked the bear as instructed and put it in the container. By the next day, the brown sugar was as soft as when I first bought it. Incredible!

Alternately, as a pastry chef I’ve always put a few jumbo marshmallows in the airtight container with my brown sugar. It gives the brown sugar enough moisture to keep from hardening and lasts for months.

one time i had some cookies that got too hard because they were on a plate with plastic wrap that was not airtight enough. I put them overnight in a Gladware container with one of these and it revived them and they tasted fresh and soft again!
