A Hip reader recently shared the CUTEST teacher gift idea and we couldn’t resist making them for our own teachers! 🤩

The concept of this teacher appreciation gift is simple, affordable, and unforgettable! 🥰

This gift only requires the purchase of a compact mirror set and some sweet notes from your kiddo to pair with each one.

Next, you’ll write or print some messages from your kiddo to your teacher. (I used thick cardstock paper I already had.)

You’ll want to start your note off by saying “Take a peek inside to see who…..”.

Have them think of something sweet to finish the sentence or share how their teacher helped them this year. Here are a few ideas to help your thoughts start flowing:

Take a peek inside to see who…

  • helped me learn how to read more fluently this year!
  • is my favorite teacher of all!
  • was patient with me and always kind when times got tough.
  • helped me learn how to do math!
  • knew when I needed someone to talk to.
  • I will miss this summer and next school year!

You can opt to decorate your notes any way you’d like to make them even more giftable. We used beads from a cheap bracelet-making kit to glue them in the shape of flowers. We already had the beads so adding them was free and easy! My kiddo signed them for a personal touch and within minutes each gift was complete! 🤩

Each mirror is decorated with fun fruit patterns which is so fun for summer and each one comes with its own plastic bag making them giftable all on their own! We super glued some poms to add another special touch and it helped elevate these gifts without spending anything extra.

Hip Tip: Consider pairing your mirror teacher gift with a gift card to elevate it for an extra special teacher. We heard from hundreds of 2024 teachers and gift cards are among the best teacher gifts that are always well received.

One thing’s for sure, teachers love to feel appreciated and this is one gift they’re sure to never forget (and will actually use)!

Best of all, every time they use this mirror for years to come, they’re sure to think of your kiddo and the sweet teacher gift that made them smile.

As a teacher of 22 years, I would prefer a handwritten note from your child rather than a Pinterest gimmick. You don’t have to spend money on us; however, if you’d like to spend money, a gift card (no matter how small) or candy is always a good choice … but my most favorite gifts are notes or drawings from my students. I have some hanging on my walls for daily inspiration and some in a special folder that I pull out on tough days.
