These battery-operated grinders work really well. I love the light that comes on when I push the button and the consistency of the granules is perfect.

I bought these last year as a gift for my husband and both broke. The salt broke after a few months and I just threw away the pepper one. I love Sur La Table but I would skip these S&P shakers. They are not well made and both literally fell apart with no way to fix. Very fragile. Read the reviews on the site for similar comments.
