FREE Internet for 5 Years?! T-Mobile is Helping K-12 Students Get Connected
Did you know you can get free internet for students in 2026? Here’s the scoop!
T-Mobile knows the importance of education and staying connected, so they have launched Project 10Million to provide 10 MILLION U.S. households with students in K-12 with a free T-Mobile hotspot device and internet access!
This free internet program is for students in grades K-12 who are enrolled in the select government programs, including the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/EBT), and more.
Eligible students will receive a free hotspot at no charge to their home that includes a 200GB/year data line. You can also purchase additional data passes if needed. Better yet, eligible households will score free internet for a whopping 5 years!

Here’s how to get T-Mobile free internet for students (and no, you DON’T need to be a T-Mobile customer 🙌🏼):
- Head to T-Mobile’s Project 10Million website to apply as a school administrator or parent/guardian
- Submit your school district’s information OR your child’s school information and proof of NSLP enrollment (or their CEP, PEBT certification)
- Check your inbox for an acceptance letter and shipping status!
It’s important to note that there is a maximum allotment per state per year. For this reason, it’s best to sign up as soon as possible!
If your state isn’t open for registration, be sure to check with your student’s school district, as they may already be enrolled in this program.
Note that this program receives A LOT of applications, so if approved, you may experience shipping delays of approximately 45-60 days.
