I have tried many LED products for ambient light and this is a MUST have. I was skeptical of this product but lucky I made the purchase to go with my new 77″ LG OLED. It is AMAZING how this works right out of the box without the online/calibration. No matter what movie you are watching this LED lighting will make every person that watches a movie with you say OMG! Even for gaming it is amazing! My friends are buying this product for their home theater too once they watch a movie at my house. This will be by far the cheapest component of your home theater but the one part that every talks about. These are a no brainer for any “serious” home theater junky =)
I bought this for a 70″ curved Samsung QLED. I was told the unit is not optimized for curved TVs but I purchased it anyway. I am VERY HAPPY. The lights work perfectly and are very cool. The lights are very sensitive to the colors on the screen and correspond to them extremely well. For instance, on one show I was watching, someone lit a match and a small flicker of orange light came on behind the TV.
In short, I am VERY happy with this product and would definitely recommend, and HAVE recommended to friends and family. When I told my wife I was getting these, she was concerned about the lights distracting her and ruining the viewing of movies. After they were installed she was extremely happy and pleasantly surprised. These lights really enhance the viewing experience and REALLY reduce eyestrain.
